Reviews Policy
Effective Date: May 2026 | Last Updated: May 2026
We believe in the full picture — we show every review that complies with this policy, regardless of rating.
Jab We Wed ("JWW," "we," "us," or "our") is a South Asian wedding vendor marketplace built on trust. Reviews are the foundation of that trust — for couples making high-stakes decisions about their wedding day, and for vendors who have worked hard to build their reputation. This Reviews Policy governs how reviews are submitted, vetted, published, and managed on the Platform.
JWW manually reviews every submission before it is published. We do not filter by rating. A review that meets this Policy will be published — whether it is 5 stars or 1 star.
1. Who Can Leave a Review
Reviews on JWW are open to anyone who has had a direct experience with a vendor — including couples, families, event coordinators, or other clients. You do not need to have submitted a Lead through JWW to leave a review.
By submitting a review, you represent and warrant that:
- You have had a genuine, first-hand experience with the vendor you are reviewing
- The review reflects your honest, personal opinion
- You are not the vendor, an employee of the vendor, a competitor, or acting on behalf of any of the above
- You have not been compensated, incentivized, or coerced to submit the review
JWW reserves the right to request verification of your relationship with a vendor before publishing a review. Failure to provide verification may result in the review being withheld.
2. How to Submit a Review
2.1 Direct Submission
Couples and clients can submit a review directly through a vendor's profile page on JWW. Reviews require a star rating (1–5) and a written description of your experience.
2.2 Vendor-Requested Reviews
Vendors may invite past clients to leave a review by sharing a JWW review link. This is the only permitted method for vendors to solicit reviews. Vendors may not:
- Offer discounts, gifts, cash, or any other incentive in exchange for a review
- Request that clients submit only positive reviews or withhold negative feedback
- Pre-screen clients before sending a review request in order to exclude those likely to leave a negative review
- Submit review requests on behalf of clients or assist in the writing of a review
Vendors who violate these rules are subject to immediate removal of all reviews and account suspension.
3. JWW Vetting Process
Every review submitted to JWW is manually reviewed by our team before publication. This process exists to protect the integrity of the review system — not to filter out negative feedback. Our vetting team evaluates each submission against the standards in Section 4.
Reviews that pass vetting are published to the vendor's profile, regardless of rating. Reviews that do not pass vetting are rejected and the submitter is notified. JWW targets a review turnaround of five (5) business days from submission, though this may vary during high-volume periods.
JWW does not share the contents of rejected reviews with the vendor being reviewed.
4. Review Content Standards
To be published, a review must meet all of the following standards:
4.1 Required
- Based on a genuine, first-hand experience with the vendor
- Written in the reviewer's own words
- Relevant to the vendor's services, professionalism, communication, or overall experience
- Includes a star rating between 1 and 5
4.2 Prohibited Content
Reviews will be rejected if they contain:
- False, fabricated, or materially misleading statements of fact
- Profanity, hate speech, slurs, or language that demeans any person or group
- Personal identifying information about vendor staff (full names, phone numbers, home addresses)
- Content that is defamatory, threatening, or harassing toward any individual
- Promotional content, advertisements, or links to external websites
- References to legal disputes, pending litigation, or regulatory complaints
- Content copied from another review platform or submitted by a third party on the reviewer's behalf
- Irrelevant content unrelated to the vendor's services (e.g., reviews of a venue's neighborhood or parking)
4.3 Rating Integrity
Star ratings must reflect the reviewer's genuine assessment of the vendor. Ratings submitted as part of a coordinated campaign — whether to inflate a vendor's score or damage a competitor — will be rejected and may result in account action against all involved parties.
5. Vendor Responses
Vendors may submit a public response to any review published on their profile. Vendor responses are subject to the same content standards in Section 4 and are manually reviewed by JWW before publication.
Vendor responses must:
- Be professional and respectful in tone
- Address the substance of the review without disclosing private client information
- Not include promotional content, pricing, or calls to action
Vendor responses may not:
- Dispute, contradict, or attempt to discredit the reviewer's experience in a harassing manner
- Reveal personal details about the reviewer
- Threaten legal action or make accusations against the reviewer
JWW reserves the right to reject any vendor response that does not meet these standards. One response per review is permitted.
6. Review Removal
JWW will remove a published review if it is found to violate this Policy after publication. Reviews will not be removed simply because a vendor disagrees with the rating or content.
Grounds for removal after publication include:
- The review is discovered to be fraudulent, fabricated, or submitted by a competitor or the vendor themselves
- New evidence emerges that a material statement of fact in the review is false
- The review is found to contain content that violates JWW's Acceptable Content & Community Standards Policy
- The reviewer requests removal of their own review
To report a review for removal, contact legal@jabwewed.com with the vendor name, review in question, and specific grounds for the request.
7. Vendor Appeals
JWW's vetting decisions are final. Vendors may not appeal a decision to publish a review that complies with this Policy. JWW does not remove negative reviews on the basis of vendor disagreement, vendor tenure on the platform, or subscription status.
If a vendor believes a published review violates this Policy, they may flag it for re-review by contacting legal@jabwewed.com. JWW will re-evaluate flagged reviews and remove them only if a clear Policy violation is confirmed. This is not an appeal process — it is a Policy compliance check. The outcome of a re-review is final.
8. Fraud and Manipulation
JWW actively monitors for review fraud and manipulation. The following activities are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account suspension or permanent termination:
- Submitting reviews for your own business through alternate accounts
- Coordinating with employees, family members, or associates to submit reviews
- Submitting negative reviews for competing vendors
- Using bots, scripts, or automated tools to submit reviews
- Incentivizing or paying third parties to submit reviews on your behalf
JWW reserves the right to remove all reviews associated with a vendor account found to have engaged in review manipulation, regardless of whether individual reviews pass content standards.
9. Policy Updates
Jab We Wed reserves the right to update this Reviews Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification. Continued use of the Platform following notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
