Crowne Plaza Houston Med Ctr-Galleria Area by IHG

Definitely not a 4-star hotel. The facilities are extremely old and dirty. My first impression was finding huge cockroaches in the lobby bathroom, and more cockroaches in the parking lot. The rooms were uncomfortable, and the coffee station was awkwardly placed right by the bathroom door, not to mention the lack of cleanliness overall. I would not return; it was definitely not a good experience. The only redeeming factor is the convenient location, but aside from that, I would never stay here again. I booked this hotel because it was listed as part of the IHG group, but it doesn’t even come close to meeting that standard.

No hot water in my first room, then they wanted me to wait until Engineering came to fix it. Moved to another room and soon as I got off the elevator there was a strong odor that smells like mold. I canceled the remaining days and requested a refund. The property needs a serious remodel. Smells bad on most floors and no hot water in either room. Terrible experience. I will never book this hotel again. The hotel manger needs to read these reviews and do a serious evaluation of the property. Even with price discounts it's not worth staying here. Night was ruined and they offered ZERO to accommodate my troubles. I'm a traveling professional and I AVOID properties like this.
