The studio has particular experience with South Asian weddings, including Hindu, Muslim, and Ismaili celebrations. From Mehndi and Sangeet to Pithi, Haldi, Baraat, Nikah, Shaadi, Reception, and Walima, David Baker Studios emphasizes understanding the traditions and flow of multi-day celebrations so important rituals, family moments, and cultural details are captured with care.
Their photography approach combines candid moments, guided portraits, and timeless fine-art imagery. Couples receive direction when needed for portraits, family photographs, and wedding-party images, while genuine emotions and spontaneous interactions are documented naturally. The studio also works with couples before the wedding to understand their priorities and create a photography timeline around their vision.
David Baker Studios offers both photography and videography, with services that can include multi-day wedding coverage, engagement sessions, bridal sessions, family portraits, professional retouching, online galleries, prints, albums, and cinematic wedding films depending on the selected package. South Asian wedding packages can include two photographers, up to 12 hours of wedding-day coverage, edited digital images, and two videographers with a highlight film.
The studio also provides engagement and couple photography, event photography, bridal portraits, family photography, and corporate/headshot services, making it possible for couples to work with the same photographer beyond the wedding itself. David was a joy to work with. We booked a session for my son’s senior pictures and family pictures. He was very detailed, had lots of ideas and was really committed to getting lots of options. We loved how he was able to create a relaxed atmosphere, and from that we were able to get amazing pictures. The hours flew by because it was such a great experience. You will not regret booking a session with him.

David is an exceptional photographer! He captured the genuine essence of our daughter in every photograph he took. He has an innate ability to make his client feel comfortable, and relaxed, making the session fly by. David took time, in advance of the shoot, to understand and get to know our daughter and how she wanted to capture her accomplishment of graduating college. He was patient with outfit changes and flexible with locations. In addition, he truly understood light and shadow and the technicality involved in exposure relative to the time of day, the buildings and locations. David is a true professional and artist that I highly recommend!
