Golden State Qawwali

Golden State Qawali · Qawwali & Fusion Performers · Houston, TX

There is no sound at a South Asian wedding quite like live qawwali — and Golden State Qawali brings that sound to life in a way that stops the room and stirs the soul. Based in Houston, Texas, Golden State Qawali is a premier qawwali and fusion ensemble delivering electrifying live performances for weddings, mehdis, sufi nights, and private events across the US.

Rooted in the centuries-old Sufi devotional tradition made legendary by the likes of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Golden State Qawali honors the authenticity of the art form while weaving in contemporary elements that make every performance feel fresh, alive, and deeply moving. From the hypnotic pull of the harmonium to the driving rhythm of the tabla and the soaring call-and-response of the vocals, their mehfils don't just entertain — they transcend.

Whether you're envisioning a dedicated sufi night, a qawwali set during your mehndi, or a live performance that gives your reception an unforgettable spiritual and musical dimension, Golden State Qawali delivers with the professionalism and passion the moment deserves. Every performance is tailored to the vibe of your event — intimate and soul-stirring or high-energy and celebratory.

Based in Houston and available for bookings across the United States, Golden State Qawali brings the heart of the subcontinent's most beloved musical tradition right to your celebration.
