Krista lives every day through love — colorful, unafraid, and deeply expressive. Her work spans a wide range of styles, from dark and edgy to bright and bubbly, reflecting the many sides of the human experience she has spent her career documenting. With a BFA in Photography from the University of Houston, where she specialized in candid photography and storytelling, Krista brings an academic foundation and an artist's intuition to every event she shoots.
Since founding Kris D. Photography LLC, Krista has taken her lens on a whirlwind of world travels, served as a disaster relief photographer for the American Red Cross, contributed her skills to mission-driven organizations across the country, and created Lights Out Houston — an annual art show she founded in 2018. Her work is as versatile as it is meaningful, and her ability to find and capture authentic human moments is what sets her apart.
