Back in July I did a staycation at this hotel. Given Renaissance hotels tend to be a step above most for their category, I was excited to see a Renaissance for $137 a night. There was both outdoor and covered garage parking available. I was advised online of $9 parking, which I found to be very cheap especially in 2025, but I was not billed for parking so perhaps they do not actually charge for parking here. The lobby was beautiful, solid marble floors, beautiful stone walls and beam-work above, a nice floral display in the center, truly a grand lobby. David and Destany at the front desk were top notch. They were truly the highlight of my stay here. David was thorough in explaining the hotel, amenities, hours of operation, and told me that he found the hotel to be a hidden gem, and I agree! He also remembered me through all three nights and checked in to see how the stay was, true hospitality! Elevators were very fast and efficient, I never waited over a minute in peak demand times which was impressive, all worked through the stay too. The room I was assigned was great, it was in the corner and was spacious, had a full corner window on the 8th floor, and had to be at least 400 square feet, the bathroom was also large, had great water pressure, and the water was very hot. Like some other reviews mentioned, the room was dated and definitely had furniture from back when it was an Omni. The room did not smell ‘fresh’ anymore either, it was not a bad smell, it was like the smell you find in an older home, though it was spotlessly clean. The sheets looked brand new, not a stain to be seen on anything, everything was in working order, and for $137 a night for the renaissance experience I felt it was a good deal overall. The food for both dinner and breakfast were top notch too. I found my burger I had for dinner to be perfectly cooked, fries were great too, the food was at ‘local prices’ too, I will be back for that restaurant someday. Breakfast had plenty of selections from waffles to all the normal hot items, which were all high quality and better than some other hotel breakfasts I have had. All the restaurant staff who helped me were pleasant as well. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay here and had some much needed quiet time outside the big city. For the price I felt it was a great deal and I will certainly come back for another stay. If you are okay with an older room that is otherwise spotless, I highly recommend this hotel. I do hear they are renovating currently as well, so I am sure it is only up from here.
Our team had an offsite strategy meeting. The hotel conference & hotel rooms were great. The breakfast & lunch were fantastic. The support staff were always ready to help when needed, answer any questions we had. I would use Renaissance again for a future meeting &/or stay!
Feels out dated. Service is ok but something missing. Soul. The elevator is dangerous. The gym was ok, old school but free apples and water. The room was spacious 70s luxurious but the bath tub didn’t feel clean. They had some nice products. Overall I didn’t love this it felt like a luxurious knock. For the price something better exist. Also the area was not very liveable.
It’s trying! But the property is dated, rooms are in severe need up updating, and service is slow. Front desk employees were great, but service at the restaurant on property was deathly slow, and the property feels tired. Carpet in room had faint stains throughout. Great running/walking paths just outside the door and free parking is nice. Gym is tired looking but had lots of machines and plenty of space. Pool is nice. Good prices, but definitely not what I’d expect from a Renaissance branded hotel.
Huge disappointment.. I’m honestly shocked this is part of Marriott. Rooms are dark and aging. AC does not work. Parking costs 15 dollars a day even though there is plenty of vacant spots. The tip of the iceberg is the outrageous cost of a single drink at the bar. One shot of Tito’s Vodka cost us 19.25 per drink!!!! Highway robbery. Do not recommend..
