Stayed here this past weekend and overall not impressed. We stayed here due to the close location to where we needed to be in Houston. I always stay at Marriott properties and book based off of the photos on their app. I felt as if the photos on their app were not representative of the actual hotel. This place is very outdated and was dirty in the hallways during our stay. There were numerous people just hanging out in the parking garage when we got there around 11:00pm which was weird and the security guard did not seem to care. Our room stayed very cold which was a bonus but would definitely not stay here again.
Shocking for a Sheraton. Better than motel 6, not good enough to be a Marriott hotel. They are now “under renovation”. Translation - they removed all mini fridges and microwaves from the rooms. And “lounge access” no longer means light eats (as pictured on the app and website) and drinks. Lounge access means you have a choice between oranges, bananas, granola bars, water, sodas, and coffee. In short they are saying we don’t care about our loyal customers because started to renovate the 2nd floor. A renovation that is AT LEAST TWO DECADES OVERDUE. The bathroom shower tile is reminiscent of the early 1990s. The carpet in the common areas upstairs is stained and grotesque. Good luck on finding power to charge your devices. I have found more options in a 40 year old Inn. The restaurant charged me $70 for two drinks and a flatbread. I can confirm that I will never stay here again, and I will discourage everyone traveling to the area from doing so. I am blown away that they trade on the Sheraton name and charge the rates they do. I had planned to stay here all week. I’m leaving on Wednesday to relocate to another suitable place.
I was nervous once checked in after reading reviews about a robbery a few nights before but my stay was ok. This hotel is nice- a bit dated but higher quality than the budget hotels. Parking is not secure by gates but there are signs saying it is under video surveillance. My bed was stiff and noisy but the customer service manager called my room shortly after I checked in (which was nice) and when I explained this she promptly sent up another comforter for me to sleep on in order to make the bed a bit more comfortable. The pool was nice. Food looked ok at the restaurant but I did not eat there. And my toilet was slow to flush but again was likely just old. I would stay here again but I don’t think I would be willing to pay $142 plus taxes again to stay there. For that price point I could stay at much more updated places.
I came to Houston for a brief stay and truly enjoyed my stay. From check in to check out, the staff was very pleasant & efficient. I cannot remember the young lady's name who checked me in but she was very thorough in explaining amenities & the property. I had an issue with my room & Reggie was prompt and accommodating at marking it out of order as well as getting me a new room. Hanard made my checkout very smooth. The housekeeping staff & bartender also were very pleasant and accommodating as well. The rooms are a tad small & a little dated but I spent more time in the rest of the hotel & of course places locally. I did enjoy some time in the jacuzzi, visited the bar, & enjoyed the breakfast buffet. There was a nice selection for breakfast. Very close to some shopping and restaurants as well. If I had to, I would stay here again.
Friendly staff very accommodating. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Our room was nice and very clean, the only thing I was not pleased with was they did not have microwaves in any of the rooms. The gift shop was awesome. Our stay was quite enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel to family, friends or anyone who is looking for a secure, clean, comfortable stay.
