AMAZING. I highly highly recommend. The food was incredibly tasty, especially the lamb and pita. The serving sizes as well as prices were amazing. Our server was also great, and gave us awesome recommendations that we tried. This is such a hidden gem. I am coming back.
We had a wonderful experience at Shiva Indian Restaurant. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! We tried the samosas, chicken tikka masala, chicken korma, and malai kofta and each dish was flavorful, fresh, and served nice and …
This food was a 10/10! Amazing flavor from start to finish. Everything was exquisite. I had the tandoori shrimp, rice, naan with gravy, and cucumber salad on the side, and every single dish was outstanding. I honestly cannot find one complaint about this restaurant. Everything was perfect, and I highly recommend it!
Amazing service. Came for the lunch special and got the perfect amount of portions. Naan was so fresh and food was so delicious.
Avoid this place. To serve food this poor is a disgrace to Indian cuisine. …
I was really looking forward to an amazing dining experience, but unfortunately, the food fell short of my expectations. The service was also disappointing - our server seemed disengaged, simply dropping off menus and disappearing without …
Love the lunch presentation of the food. Although they do not have a buffet, the lunch specials make you feel like you got items in the buffet. One main entree, spinach, dessert, Naan, lentils and white yogurt for dipping, along with basmati rice. I liked the chicken dishes better than lamb. All food was hot, good temp!
This is easily some of the best Indian food I’ve had in the Houston area. I ordered lunch and the meal was phenomenal. Everything was absolutely delicious. Definitely worth trying if you’re in the area. I hope y’all love it as much as I do!
Really good food. Just popped in for lunchy pooh and e hoped my meal! Even got some Dal to go!
Amazing food! Always fresh, flavorful, and delicious, with excellent customer service every time. The chicken tikka masala is delicious the samosa amazing and the lamb Karahi so much flavor in all the food!
This was the first spot I tried Indian food ever. I came back after literally moving to the other side of the world and back over the last decade and it was still absolutely superb. 🧡🇮🇳🥘 Still my all time favorite poppadom & chutney too. …
This was the first place I ever had Indian food back in November 2019 and I just came back because it was the BEST Indian food I have had and since then I have had about 6 other places and none compare. …
This is the second time we've tried this place and I'm pretty sure we won't be coming back. The server didn't seem to know what was in the food. He also never came back to fill our water or even check on us. The biryani had a bunch of …
Food was ok. I got a chicken with rice that was supposed to be “spicy” but wasn’t spicy at all. They BARELY gave me any chicken for the amount that I paid. The food came in HOT but very quickly became cold which was very upsetting (I eat …
4.5 stars. Excellent food, good portion sizes, and everything was so neatly packed in my order. The only reason I took off 0.5 stars was because there were no forks. …
Great food, great service. Only knocking one start because there's apparently lacking AC- we sat in the front by the window unit, so neither of us melted. People used to this ungodly heat around here probably wouldn't even notice …
The food here is disgusting. Please don't go here thinking you'll get anything close to indian food. The food I got was filled with food coloring and there was absolutely no flavor. The naan I ordered was this huge pizza dough looking thing …
Clean place, great food and service. Lamb Biryani: Meat was cooked very tender, spices are balanced …
The lunch specials provide a variety of favorite foods with the entre, and an excellent price value. If you're a vegetarian, you have many food options.
We have been eating at Shiva for decades! The food is always delicious. We have had their chef recommended platters with multiple dishes, but our favorites are their saag paneer, murgh makhani and pakoras. Can't go wrong with the Kheer, …
First time eating Indian food. Delicious!!!! My experious there was impeccable. The owner came to my table and gave me some history on Indian food. I highly recommend this place. I'm hooked
I'm a lifelong customer to this place. So I was rather excited to visit Post-Covid. There meals were buffet only....which left room to be desired. I arrived at 2p and the food was luke warm...they did how ever prepare some more curried goat …
I came almost by mistake but what a great mistake. The food was fantastic. The service was excellent. I highly recommend this little hole in the wall very very, very good.
This place was amazingly super good !!! It was so good that even my wife loved it. The staff was very friendly & very helpful with suggestions. It was our 1st visit & we are planning on going next weekend. Loved it , it is a must try little hole in the wall.
Price was definitely unbeatable. Very friendly welcoming service. We had an order with curry goat ,Lamb and butter chicken . Hints of the flavors was there but didn’t hit the mark on familiar spices we were expecting . Overall still good 😊! Thank you …
A great little hidden gem with great food! The staff was extremely friendly. Our waiter gave us great recommendations upon learning we didn't know what to order. Our glasses were never empty and we were always well taken care of. All of the …
Awesome North Indian food at a great price! They offer lunch specials made up of several meat and vegetarian thalis that come out quick.
We placed an order to be delivered and the food was ready very quickly. I got the murgh (chicken) tikka masala, the gosht (lamb) dil pasand, and garlic naan. The main entrees came with a dish of rice. The Tikka masala was great, so creamy …
High quality and authentic. They have mango pickle, which is not common to find in restaurants.
The food tastes fine, but they sure do skimp on the chicken in the tikka masala. Here’s a photo of two orders of it that I just brought home. Took the lids off and took the picture.
Always door dash from here the store says it close at 9:30 pm I arrived at 9:04 and the lights are off, doors locked and the open sign is off. Online order was already placed. Waste of gas and time
This was a pickup order. The moment I tasted my Rogan Ghosh my happy hunger food craving died! Absolutely no flavor! My Indian friends wouldn’t be caught dead putting onion chunks in like that. The Palak Paneer was good.
Food was solid, albeit far from the best, and the service was amazing. The manager actually gave a darn about this solo dinner, and they made my meal supremely enjoyable. With service like that it's hard to not go back for more.
So far the best one in Houston. Fine curry buffet and Naan included. $11 for buffet.
We decided to give this place a try and felt we would be surprised with the food. We got off to a good start with fresh papad, the mint and tamarind chutney tasted great We ordered the drinks, Lassi, and the Chaas and we were delighted with …
Just had tea - Masala Chai here. The tea is nothing but some instant powder added to hot water and it costs $3? Pathetic to say the least !
I have had and tried other restaurants. Shiva's is the best and most authentic. The staff is oh so very friendly and polite. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We have been going there since my wife and I first started dating 20+ years ago. Shiva's has only improved and are now top notch if you ask me. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND SHIVA INDIAN RESTAURANT.
The lamb was so tough that it was hard to cut with a steak knife. It was hard to chew. Parts of it were burned. This lamb was the toughest I have ever had in my life. I actually got nauseous after eating it and threw up 4 times! Disgusting 🤮 I will never order from them again! …
The lunch buffet is good, but limited in selection. They have about 6 items to choose from. Half are vegetarian and the other half contain meat.
Food was wonderful!! And the staff were incredibly kind. I got two lunch specials, which were massive helpings of food. I had enough for two meals, and it was only 30 dollars total! Their saag paneer was the best I have ever had, hands down. I would highly recommend coming here for your next meal!
Really horrible food (if you are indian, stay away for sure). Malai kofta mostly tasted like mashed potato, gravy was just bad taste. Paneer Tikka was bad version of indo- Chinese dish... half of it filled with …
All the food we ordered tasted really good!
I love love love this place.... the food is amazing... staff is tops.... always clean and beautiful...
We visited this so-called Indian restaurant & were thoroughly disappointed with the food we ordered here. We ordered a thali with 2 vegetables, malai kofta & paneer tikka. Everything in the thali tasted like instant food cooked in …
Me and my wife is here today. it was great! Absolutely delicious food! All the menu items we got we would definitely recommend! Excellent service from our server - super attentive, kind, and patient! 100% will be returning soon!
My family had loved Shiva for more than 20 years! We miss their Rice Village location but are happy to be able to enjoy the same great meals at amazing prices at their Buffalo Speedway location.
Love Shiva! The wife and I always treat ourselves when we’re in the area. And we recently introduced our kids to Shiva and they love it too!
The food is amazing! I got the curry chicken with naan and it was so good! The service was decent too.
We have loved Shiva for many years. Their food is always excellent and they offer a wide range of options and spice levels.
Excellent food, the best butter chickens I have ever had. Seriously this is the best Indian Food in all of Houston. Everything is fresh and extremely flavorful and I've never had a bad meal here. They are very friendly without becoming …
I eat a lot of Indian food I am constantly going out as it is one of my favorite dishes have been enjoying it for years this place popped up and was highly rated the only issue I had was the serving size I don't eat much during the day this was my first meal of the day at around 7 PM and the sizes of the dishes were very small.
It was good quick and cheap. Veggie pakora good and the madras was ok but great for the price.
Delicious cuisine and fine service. We will definitely come back for more lamb dishes.
We went to this place right after Hurricane Beryl. Except the fact that it was open and offering food, I have nothing good to say about this place unfortunately. The owner seemed like a nice person. But the food was an absolute disaster. …
The food was hot and fresh and had good flavor. The place needs some cleaning. 😕 …
So my sister brought me some of their food to try and I LOVED it. The raita is now my new favorite in the world. Previously I had Aga's at one. The saag paneer, the naan, the daal were all very tasty! The chicken tikka masala lacked a little flavor but was still good. Can't wait to come in and dine in myself in the bear future
The prices are great the food is out of this world and now I can get half a chicken dark meat they're always so loving it's like I walk in and they roll out the red carpet I've been going here for years and I love them.
This restaurant is really overrated. We saw reviews and went there but food was not good. I ordered veg special and Most of the items were so sour couldn’t even eat. I wouldn’t go there again.
if u get thali it is good for 2 peoples so don't waste food
Lunch deal cannot be beaten. Food is excellent and tastes great. I recommend this to everyone and bring my friends consistently. Owner and staff are very nice people. Please give it a try.
Had their goat curry, Naan bread and meat samosa and the goat curry is tender, juicy and has an amazing flavor! Highly recommend this dish to try as starter for Indian cuisine.
Popped in here for dinner before a show at Main Street Theatre and was so pleasantly surprised! It's a very mom-and-pop feel inside and our waiter made us feel right at home. The interior is very traditional and not very updated, so come …
👍 This restaurant has historically offered the best Indian food in Houston. 👎 Unfortunately, it has moved several times over the years, and the quality of the food has declined with each relocation. …
Shiva offers large portions at a good price for authentic Indian food! I ordered take out -- Tikka Masala and Saag Paneer. The Tikka was very good and Saag, although it did not meet my expectations, was really good and would still …
The Shahi Korma has a slightly sweet taste, but it's delicious. Roghan Ghost was also quite enjoyable. However, I wouldn't recommend the Biryani from here. One disappointment was their Gulab Jamun; it was completely dry, with no syrup inside.
I love the new location even though they dont offer buffet anymore the food is still amazing. Took my mom and sister Saturday night was surprised not packed at all. Our waiter was super attentive and he even helped us choose what to get for dinner. Will definitely come back again .🤗 …
I had the Gosht Hariyali - Lamb in creamed spinach. It was excellent. It's out of my skill set to even know how they did it, but it was expertly prepared. The two I came with felt similarly delighted with theirs. …
One of my favorite local restaurants. Great service, very fast and friendly, with a large but easily understood dinner menu and a GREAT lunch special. An entree with rice, naan, saag paneer, dal, and kheer for less than $12. I come here …
The worst ever Indian restaurant I ever had. I ordered madras chicken curry and masala was not cooked properly, I felt the raw smell and taste of chili. So I requested them to replace it with tandoori Prawn and they did it, I …
Complinentary appetizer was a bit of dried cracker with a mint/onion/jalapeno/vinegar spread and tamarind sauce. …
Ordered the Murgh Tikka Masala Lunch Special. Warm naan to accompany the entourage of delicious flavors. And the Spinach Saag Paneer u just have to try it. Incredible! Will def be back!
Ordered onion panoramic, meat samosas, plain nan and goat curry with rice. It was delicious and hit the spot. I'll go there everything I come into Houston from Corpus Christi. Love this place. …
I love their curries (have had chicken and lamb dishes). The portions are huge and amazing prices! The lunch specials are also great deals!
We had a great time here. The service was quick and attentive, regularly refilling drinks and being mindful of requests. The food was absolutely delicious. We got samosas as an appetizer, which I recommend. We also got two veggie dishes with rice and naan. Overall I would definitely go back for an authentic experience.
My favorite dish is a vegetable dish including green pea, cauliflowers, potatoes, paneer and mushrooms. No one can beat that. Shiva does a great job making it. Get with a fat naan and you will feel like you are in heaven.
Shiva Indian Restaurant is one of the two places from which I will get Indian food. When I am in the medical center, it is a go to. I love their food and their service. 5 stars for the food but 4 stars because it is dated and the …
Shiva's vegetable dishes (creamy sauce) are so much better than their meat dishes.
I am so impressed with this spot. The lunch special for meat at $12. And the veg at $10. is one of the best deals in town. The food is delicious and the waiter is a sweetie!
I went to Shiva for their afternoon buffet, and it was a good variety at a good price. There was a chicken dish that I couldn't eat very much of because it was too spicy, but it was flavored well like all the other items in the buffet. Even …
As an Indian person, I found the food below average. In my opinion, the food was tasteless and the chicken is very hard to eat as it is slightly undercooked. Staff was very inattentive and never bothered to check how we were doing or what …
I'm a fan. Long time customer. Went by the new place not believing or trusting google in saying they moved. So I went back to the old place to find a giant dumpster and all the lights out. So sad, the ambience of the old place was special. …
Saw the reviews, not overly positive, but still the closest Indian to my house, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I would have to say pretty much what most of the reviews said about lacking flavor is dead on. …
This place is GREAT! Food is delicious and service is awesome. Starters of Veggie Samosas and Veggie Pakora were excellent. Paneer Makhani was to die for. Got very spicy and it was perfect! …
Had a great time. Our server was friendly and recommended the sampler with lamb to my wife. My brown curry in chicken was tasty. I ordered a singha thinking it would just be a 12oz like the table over, and he brought out a liter bottle. Good call
Great Indian food! The staff is very friendly and there is plenty of seating. There are lots of vegetarian and vegan options. I had the Navaratan-E-Bahar and Sham-Savera, both of which were flavorful and perfectly cooked. The mango lassi …
First time getting food, got it through Uber Eats. Food was tough, obviously kept for awhile under heat lamp. Chicken got put in lamb kabob and lamb got put in tikka. Also, food was supposed to come with rice, but rice was missing. Not a …
This is a place to find home made foods made of less oil and spices. I like their lunch buffet which costs just USD 14. I liked both mutton and chicken dishes. They also have different kinds of veg. items and sweet dish as well. The ambience is peaceful and the service is amazing.
Went to eat here 5-13-24! Haven’t been here in 10 years or to the new location! Like I remember it, great food and great service! Wish I lived closer so I could visit more often!
Great recommendation for the baigan, delicious. The lamb with spinach was also excellent. The food was ready in no time, and WiFi was strong and reliable while I stayed back to get some urgent work done. Can't wait to be back!!
This restaurant is an amazing Indian spot in Houston! I had the chicken with creamy spinach and it was delicious. The naan bread and basmati rice were even better. My only complaint would be that the service was somewhat rude when cleaning our table and taking the check.
Awful food and terrible service. DO NOT GO THERE!!!! We recently moved from UK to Houston and being a British Indian we pride on our curry so I was really grateful to know we have a Indian restaurant close by so my husband and I thought to …
Food was okay. Butter chicken was very tangy (I don't like tangy lol). Rice was fluffy and good. Service was neither great nor bad. Table cloth was dirty, floor under our booth was clean though. Probably wouldn't come again unless it was my last resort.
This place is pretty good Indian food. Their lunch buffet always leaves me rolling out the door. I think they have some of the best samosa in town. Their chicken sag is some of the best. Definitely eat here about once a month. I wish they would deliver though.
I had a great dinner here the other night with an old friend. The waiter was very polite and knowledgeable about the menu. He made a great vegetarian recomendation to me, that was greatly appreciated. I don't eat Indian food often, and I …
I've had Indian food at every restaurant inside the loop and many outside. Shiva is without a doubt the absolute best inside the loop! Additionally, the service here is outstanding compared to others. I have always been greeted quickly and …
Went for the Sunday buffet, which we enjoyed and priced at about $25 for two. Not being an Indian food expert, we found the food very good - as good or better than many Indian food restaurants. Small crowd and quiet place made it a perfect …
Got the murgh chili the spice was amazing definitely be eating again also got the chicken the tomato sauce had good flavor and the veggies was grilled to perfection but the chicken was a little dry and garlic Nan was sooooooooo good and the green dipping sauces was so delicious this place definitely a hidden gem!!
We have been coming to Shiva for over 15 years, so it was a disappointment going to the new location for dinner. The size of portions has shrunk dramatically -- in the past we were offered a brimming full plate but now it is less than 2/3 …
I went to shiva a few years ago but went to their new location today because it was close to work. Big mistake. The garlic naan was burned with burned garlic powder than actual garlic; the eggplant curry was a watery mess with no masala; …
I liked the variety of dishes that were available. The price is decent and the portions are good for one person. I liked the yogurt that they offer, though it is made of full milk (for those who are lactose intolerant).
It was decent. Saw a bug crawling when I went to pick up my food. I will definitely try another Indian restaurant in the future. The food was okay but I couldn't finish it. They do give a good amount of food.
Went in at lunch time to order a take out and server was not happy about me not taking dishes from the buffet. He finally took the order and when I eventually returned home and opened the meals to eat, the order only included what was being …
Chicken makhani tastes like tomato soup paste and chicken. Sodas arrived warm, and they didn't say rice was included or I wouldn't have spent $3 on a side of rice I didn't need. Highly do not recommend, worst tasting Indian food ever. Had a long day and was looking forward to this, now it's just ending with disappointment.
They are perfect. The owner is so nice, takes care of people. The buffet is the best, we loved and tried all of the dishes, including the dessert. It's everything that you'd know and love, Tikka Masala, Saag Peneer, Rice …
Feel like most the reviews are pretty accurate. Pretty middle of the road Indian spot. They are trying to make it work in a new location. The food, overall, is not that bad. Just average. The Naan is not great. Saag Paneer is solid but can …
Let's put this up front: if you're a vegetarian, this place has got a lot on the menu for you. The food is really good and a great value, and there's a lot of it to choose from on the menu. The manager is very knowledgeable about the …
We had dinner for two. Chicken tikka Masala, $12, and lamb vindalloo, $14, (lamb vindaloo is pretty spicey !), comes with rice. First time here at new location. All was very good. Naan, $1.75, was good as well but, prefer it a little …
Great food. Good service. Dined in and it was great. I am always looking for new Indian restuarants to try not a lot of places match up to real authenticity but they sure did. Everything was well done and full of flavor.
I've been a satisfied customer 20+ years, and ate at the original location on Fondren years ago. We live elsewhere in Texas now, but make a point at eating here when the opportunity occurs. It's some of the best Indian we've eaten and we always enjoy ourselves here.
Excellent food with attentive service. Samosas and chana masala were fabulous!
Absolutely love the place!! The food is fresh, quick and delicious; I’ve honestly never had anything bad here. There Naan bread is freshly baked and is mouth watering, their chicken tikka masala is delicious, the malai nkofta is great too. …
My home delivery order was great with bold flavors and heat. My dine in experience was disappointing. The buffet looked good but the flavors felt mass produced and less than authentic.
Unfortunately falls short of good. Chicken dry and saag paneer had 1 cube of cheese. We have tried 3 times and will not return. Too bad so close to our neighborhood. Management needs to read reviews and take note.
Horrible madras lamb curry. They simply mixed cooked lamb in some sort of Mexican sauce. Did not even taste like lamb. They also need more waiters as you have to keep calling them. But most of them are polite. They need to spray the …
Asked for spicy suggestions from menu, waiter promised to make a dish spicy, I asked for 4 out of 5 but when we got the food it was bland. When complained about it to waiter he said we take spice level out of 10. He didn't even have courtesy to fix it. Just gave spice sauce on side which ruined everything. Food was overall OK.
Mediocre food at best. Not much taste or quality. garlic naan was burnt with just garlic pwder on top. curry was bland. rice pudding was just water. Was looking forward to try this place and set my self up for disappointment. Pretty much white washed Indian food. will never go back here
They apparently hate online ordering services, they were extremely rude to my wife when she came to pick up our order. The chicken tasted like it came from a can with an expiration date 50 years in the future. The garlic naan didn't have fresh garlic, it was seasoned with garlic powder.
Very good Indian food served as a buffet. The servers were curteous and prompt. There was a good selection and the food spicey but not overbearing hot. The naan is great; I ate my share and then some. The dessert balls are also very good if …
Always enjoy coming to Shiva! The waitstaff are courteous and the food is delicious! Love their combination plates as you get a great variety at a reasonable price. The naan bread is phenomenal!
One of my favorite Indian restaurants to go to or have delivered! I love the hidayete khas meals since they give you a little bit of a lot of dishes. I'll usually buy enough food to have over the course of the whole week!
The highlight for me here is the respectable lunch buffet with tasty Indian favorites. I only wish there were more options that also included seafood. Other than that, what they usually have is very rich and spiced without being terribly …
Best Indian food I've ever had. Good, convenient location. Not cheap, but fairly priced for the diversity and flavor of the menu. Customer service needs improvement however.
The taste of the food is very less Indian. I can say that I missed the Indian food more after I ate here. Maybe the cuisine doesn't certify to be Indian. I also felt that the kababs were stale. As a connoisseur for good food, I don't recommend this restaurant to those who want to eat real Indian food.
The worst Indian restaurant I've been ever in US. Not authentic Indian Taste. The food is unsweetened / non-spicy for most of the white crowd there, who want to enjoy the Indian food without tasting the strong spices in it. The Biryani was the worst. Please, if you want to taste authentic Indian food, never go to this place.
As mentioned by the previous customer the odor @the entrance take u to the heritages of India! it's their traditional bokhoor ;) …
Cheap & beautifully satisfying in more ways than 1. This's the perfect place for dates & I can't wait to return. I've only been here once before picking up a favor order & I had it saved ever since till we went to eat here yesterday. I'd definitely recommend anything w/ lamb.
What I Like: Service - The owner or manager is very attentive, and his commitment to service …
This is my favorite place on earth 🌎 to get Indian food. My go to is nann bread & Tikka masala. It's my reward after a long week. Definitely give this place a try. The service was also very warm, accommodating & friendly. 5 stars 🌟 …
Shiva was my first Indian food restaurant and it was a great introduction. They offer a good all you can eat lunch buffet and everything I have had there is always very good. I especially love the Chicken Marsala with some naan bread to dip in it.
Ordered Murgh Biryani. That is not a biriyani at all. even a Rookie can cook better than this. pathetic taste and Chicken breast pieces are half cooked and no taste. never going to eat from this place even it is free
Old and beat-up restaurant (80’s look and feel) Every Friday afternoon we (office mates) explore restaurants nearby Houston …
We went to the restaurant and we were a little confused about a local dish in the menu and i want it cooked in a different way than usual. The chef came outside and spoke with me personally and gave his suggestions and i was very impressed with that. The salmon dish he made was very tasty too inspite of no oil and less salt.
Looking for a place to grab a quick bite we came to Shiva Indian Restaurant. The lunch buffet was good. However, there were not too many vegetarian options compared to other restuarants. I particularly enjoyed the goat curry. Two buffets, a soda, and a mango lassi came close to $30.
If you are in need of a taste of Indian… this place is great for reasonable and tasty delicacies. The restaurant was very clean and the service was quick! I will be dining here again soon!
Been here many times. This last time I placed and order to go. I asked for one extra side of rice. When the food arrived, I realize they charged me for 2 huge orders of rice and the main dish was a few pieces of chicken and sauce, container wasn’t even full. Food is great, but don’t appreciate the mix up or price for little bit of food.
Aside from the awesome "Parking for Indian Food Lovers" sign in front of the restaurant, the most outstanding thing about this restaurant is the food. My waiter was extremely attentive and took time to explain to me their different cooking …
We love this place and have been coming to it for years (miss the old location). The baingan bharta and bhindi are both excellent. Just the right balance of seasoned and rich. So many places get this subtle balance off!
Used to eat here once or twice a week when I worked in the Texas Medical Center. It was nice to visit again. The food was SO good! Also good to see my old friend Abraham!
I was expecting some really outstanding dishes from this restaurant, but the long rice, saag paneer and chicken tikka masala were just mediocre. Saag was very watery, chicken tikka masala's meat was very, very dark that I questioned why I …
Awesome food and excellent service. It's a nice cozy date spot, and the prices are very reasonable. Most dinner options that I saw hover around $13, so considering the quality and ambiance, you're getting more than your money's worth.
Great American food. Yes, you read it correctly great American food as it does not taste like Indian food at all. If you want to eat tasteless Indian food without real flavor and pay decent amount of money please go there. …
Used to be better. Flavorful and good naan but our carry out chicken curry dish had very few pieces of chicken in it. Maybe it was an off night or they don’t care as much about carry out customers.
Worst desi dining experience in Houston!
Review based on order. Ordered via uber eats. …
Great tasting Indian food with excellent staff. The manager himself is a delight: funny and intelligent. He enjoyed joking with our group of college students and even offered a free plate for our time.
This place is horrible in terms of food and taste. Guys, if you really want true indian food try elsewhere. This is not indian food. The flavors are just not there and the preparation of the food is not authentic. Spinach is not supposed to …
Delicious food, excellent service, very quick, clean and calm place.
Great place for authentic Indian food. The food is always very fresh and tasty. We love the tikka masala, mattar paneer, saffron rice, and naan. Also, the restaurant is very clean and staff are friendly. I definitely recommend!
My wife and I really like this place. We find the food to be very good and the owner very affable. It's close to our house and it is very reasonable. My only complaint is that it seems as though the chef is skimping a little on meat these …
Extremely slow service with average food quality. Everything in the new location is far worst than the original one. We are not coming back. Also buffet is not offered anymore.
This was disappointing. I went for the lunch buffet. Several dishes were cold; several were watery. I hope people don't think this is what Indian food actually tastes like. I gave it 2 stars because the Chicken Tikka Masala was pretty good and the servers were attentive. Otherwise, the overall food alone would be a 1.
Went here for the Monday noon buffet. Being recently changed to a veggie, was hoping to find some good veggie options. Buffet had some potato gravy, saag paneer, dal makhani , cabbage curry and some rice. Buffet price was $11. None of the …
I love the restaurant. The staff are very kind and professional and the food is absolutely delicious! I would recommend it to anyone looking for some tasty spices and hospitable services. My favorite combination of plates to order are …
Ate here on Saturday, January 7, 2012 for the lunch buffet. I have eaten at hundreds of indian restaurants in America and around the world. This is your typical indian lunch buffet, they bring the naan to your table, perfectly warm, puffy …
Delicious! We ate saag panner and chicken tikka masala, which were creamy and flavorful. Served with warm naan and scrumptious rice. We finished off with the perfect rice pudding. Highly recommended!
The food here is delicious and the restaurant has great ambiance and service. The lunch service is a buffet, which is great. I've been coming here for years and will continue to do so. Highly recommend it!
I went here to go eat, and it was great. This is the first restaurant review im writing, and it’s because the food was just that good. 10/10 would come again.
This place smells really bad! It has old smell and you regret entering the restaurant. It is not an Authentic Indian Restaurant. I have not seen any Indian restaurant which serves Aloo Paratha with no sides! if you ask one they are going to …
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER !!!! After hearing a lot about this place me and my fiancé went there last month to …
I would give them 0 stars if I could. Rude and insulting manager, inattentive waiters, pathetic food. Definitely not Indian food. Poor and filthy service. And beware if you write bad reviews about them online, they are going to remember …
I wanted to like it, but..... 1) I’m not a good critic and the food was not even average (got a la carte during lunch), 2) service was poor, 3) ambiance was below average (place looks 20 years old, needs facelift). Maybe they were having a bad day, but at least the food should have been average.
Ate here for the first time today with my boyfriend and it was absolutely delicious. We started off with the Paneer Tikka which was full of beautiful spices and just the right amount of heat. For the entrees I ordered the Murgh Makhni and …
Best Saag paneer. I love this restaurant, the service is good, the food is great. What more can you ask for? I have moved away, and have also been to numerous Indian restaurants (Abu Dhabi, Belgium, Netherlands...), but this one still remains in my top 10.
Worst restaurant near downtown area. The food sucks big time, Onion Nan had a foul smell, we complaint about the smell and the arrogant owner told us that this is how onion Nan's taste like. Imagine a Nan with a foul smell of an egg. We …
Ordered chicken vindaloo extra spicy and lamb-stuffed naan to-go. Vindaloo was pretty average compared to many other places. Naan portion was large and served hot despite being take-out. Prices weren't bad for the Rice Village area. Don't think I'll be returning.
Great Indian restaurant with good variety and friendly staff. Quality maintained over 30 years
Good place for Indian food. I've always ordered off the menu and not the buffett. I'm not a fan of buffetts in general. Good service as well. Highly recommend this place!! I miss the location they used to have in Sugar Land.
The food was delicious. The service was great. They presented the food in such an appealing way. I highly recommend Shiva. To top it off prices are family friendly.
Delicious, authentic food. I got the vegetarian lunch special. It was wonderful. We'll get takeout next time! I highly recommend Shiva.
One of the worst Indian food I ever had.. are you kidding😬😬 don’t you know what is Sag Paneer and how to prepare it. Who put milk in it. Baigan bharta was my always favorite but I regret today why I ordered it. …
Sunday buffet: I never spent fifteen dollars so badly in my life. The food looks like Indian food but not Indian at all. Not a place to find real Indian food. I have never seen Indian food so Americanized before. …
Last week I bought Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Chilly... To be very frank it was absolutely bad... The packaging was good but the taste was horrible and the chicken was very hard. I bought these for 4 people and we had a little bit and throw it.. I felt really sad coz I hate wasting food.
One of our favorite take-out places in the city, but the dine-in experience is great as well. The owner will always greet you with a smile and a joke! Love their naan.
We love this place! We went to UK had a Indian food there and couldn't wait to get home for this place, but I if I could give more than a 4 star I would!! The manager treats us like family!
Seriously, in catering to the taste of the western community, the Indian restaurants lose the 'Indian' touch in the food. …
Indeed the worst restaurant I have ever been in Houston.Food as well as their hospitality really sucks.Starting with the starters, we ordered Veg platter, OMG, how can they even call it a veg platter. It just had a Samosa and pakora. …
Not very good, although It's hard for Indian food restaurants to impress me. My first experience with Indian food was at the Taj Mahal which was the best one in the Houston area. I'm from clear lake and was just in the area for a trip to …
Quick fix Indian food. I ordered a goat karahi for my dinner friend. The medium heat was bland & undersalted. The Ras Malai was straight from the fridge cold, probably the frozen packet variety, & therefore quite hard cheeseballs, as you …
The fact that the only people rating this place high are those saying it’s the “first Indian restaurant they have ever tried” should tell you something. Same people would also say Taco Bell is the first and most delicious Mexican restaurant they’ve been to as well.
One of my favorite restaurants for 10 years. Service us great, staff is friendly, the food is great. Food has gone down a tiny bit in 10 years, but still from amazing to great is worth the trip.
Really appreciate their naan, samosa chat and aloo paratha portion size. Though the gravy is customized, the natives like "nativity make" more than americanized.
Bit of a HIDDEN GEM for Houston Indian food. Had the Lunch Thali. Really inexpensive for what you get. Good quality food.
Not good if u are looking for authentic Indian food. Tandoori chicken - No flavour or spices. Paneer tikka - Paneer was dry, hard and chewy. …
can I give negative stars? ...when I politely commented about taste of one of the curry owner said very mean things,...as if he is the inventor of the indian cuisine. he didnt even bother to listen us..never found such behavior from hotel owners in US...will never go there...felt humiliated ...
Small parking. Beautiful art work. I wonder if this is what India looks like. A friend and I visted here for lunch just to catch as I had heard great things. …
Their fat as and Alu, Gobi, paneer, green pea, and mushroom dish is out of this world. Once you eat it, you ate in heaven. TRY IT. Tell ‘em I told you so.
Sweet Shiva, one of my favorite go-to Indian restaurants in the village. I have only been for lunch, which is typically buffet style and even though they NEVER have the one thing I really want (Chicken Tikka), what they do have is just as …
We come here once in a while.. I would say the taste and service is average.. Just ok, but nOt terrible. Just an observation-- but I noticed that Indian and middle eastern people who write reviews think lowly of this restaurant, whereas the …
10/10 great food, great service, great consistency. cannot recommend enough.
Go here for Indian food in Houston. Most of the food is family-style, with the notable exception of four samplers at the back of the menu. The Raja Dil Pasand is my favorite, it's not unusual for most of the people at my table to order …
It smells very bad. Not fresh food. They warm food in microwave and bring it to you. They have no Refrigerator so when you ask for cold cook they bring you ice. Avoid it or you will get sick, or might die.
I was disappointed taking my colleagues for lunch at Rice Village. Food was lukewarm and tasteless, when I pointed it out the guy insisted it was hot.. just warming up. Rajma had no flavor or Masala and Gulab Jamun under cooked. No apologies.. just arrogance, this is off my list!
Just hated this place. Went for lunch buffet and awful experience. Not for Veggies and if you are looking for authentic Indian place. - No Veggie Starter …
I've been here dozens of times, both for the dinner menu and the weekend buffets. Service is generally prompt and friendly, and I've never really had any complaints. The food has always been consistent.
We liked this place because they had the classic dishes -- what you expect. Great bread and a mean mango lassi. The best thing was the very reasonable price.
Great food. Efficient service. Very courteous. Casual but calm inside.
I love Shivas. They do catering and have a buffet on weekends. If you want to order from menu go during dinner time. The manager remembers the customers and is friendly. Place is clean and a chef bakes naan bread where you can watch! soooooo gooooood!
So so good! And really moderately priced! I grew up in Southern India so I’m very picky about the authenticity of my Indian food. This literally tasted like home!
I am giving two stars , because of service! Food has no taste , I felt like I am eating fake Indian food .. I ordered Paneer Mahkni and it didn't even tasted like P M .. paneer was undercooked ! Roti was not Roti ! They don't have a real …
The owner is an arrogant idiot who doesn't understand the meaning of hospitality. He should understand the meaning of Indian hospitality that they have proudly explained on their menu. The food and the service was abominable to say the least. 1 star!
I have eaten at Shiva for years. Good Indian Buffet. Quality is steady. Good Value for price...about $13 during the week and may $15 on the weekends.
Sad, Sad, Nasty and Rude. We ordered food, they had an issue with their payment processor, who charged us, but was not showing up in their system. And the owner said he would not give us the food, and didn't care if "HIS" 3rd party …
Great food. First time ordering from here and loved the entire experience. To-go service was quick, easy, and accurate. Will def be back.
The lunch buffet never disappoints. The food was hot and fresh. The naan was warm and delivered to the table. The waiters were also very attentive.
We love picking up family dinner from Shiva and its always a hit for friends too. Fresh, great tasting and always easy to pick up.
grew up going to this restaurant, no other indian restaurant is able to compare to shivas food
Amazing dinner with friends. Atmosphere was inviting and warm. Good and service were perfect. Great choice for those in or near Rice Village.
Great food every bite was amazing, warm and the service was phenomenal. Get the naan worth every penny so good if I lived closer I'd eat this every day
Tasty food, not too many options to get overwhelmed. Not a fan of the kids' menu, rather get an adult meal and share w/ our daughter.
Stuff are friendly but I think food is too spicy and they didn't tell me the spicy level during order. Also spices is bot balance, just too much chill power.
The owner like guy is too smart in everything and he knows what we want to eat and forced to do so. Really a irritating place and average food quality. Moreover search for any other Indian restaurant nearby.
The lamb kabobs were so tough as to be inedible; the naan was almost as tough, and the saffron rice had little flavor.
Always very consistent and delicious. Love that they have a sampler platter so I can try more than one thing at a time!
This is a great place worth visiting if you are really enthusiastic about Indian food. Authentic Indian restaurant.Service is pretty much high quality.
Delicious food, excellent service, have been going to this restaurant for years and love it! My favorite drink..the hot spiced tea. Ambrosia! Highly recommend!
It was good, nice and quiet not too bright ,the only thing this time for me was the lamb meat was very hard to chew so i got a little disappointed, then everything else was good
The lunch buffet is good, but limited in selection. They normally only have about 6 items to choose from. Half are vegetarian and the other half contain meat.
Food was good as well as prices. We had some appetizers which were delicious and I can't pronounce. The only thing that lacked something was the rice.
The goat curry was top tier and very flavorful . A friendly staff and I love how they are family owned.
This is one of the best Indian places in this area! The lunch menu is such a steal. I recommend you ask them to make it spicy if you like spice!
Nothing tastes good. The food is not truly Indian. The most disappointing experience in Houston. Also, they don’t serve buffet anymore. Never returning.
My Rasmalai's milk cream was broken and gooey and Biryani was more like rice and curry mixed with lots of MSG and oil. Over rated. You may want to avoid.
Amazing Veg thali!! Good service
Delicious food, fast service, nice waiter. Garlic naan, saag paneer, and gosht biryani were very good. Not too expensive.
My favorite Indian restaurant. I've been here for the lunch buffet, as well as dinner service. Food is always delicious, and the customer service is always great.
Tons of vegetarian options. Service is very prompt and attentive. The food is good, not great; the booths are cozy, but the room itself is rather dark.
Went here with our family. The service is good but the food quality is not up to par especially compared to the many great Indian food options close by.
Brits love Indian food, it's basically our inherited national cusine. As a Brit living in Houston, Shiva now holds the position as my favorite Indian restaurant so far.
This place may not be for a true Indian food lover and the dishes cannot be called authentic. Buffet is worth a try and rice kheer for desert is yummie.
Very good vegetarian food. The owner came by to greet us and gave us some great recommendations on food. Will come again!
I've been going to Shiva a really long time, they have my favorite saag paneer and their lamb biryani is delicious.
The lunch buffet was good, but naan wasnt fresh, there are better choices not too far away but if in the area it's not bad and maybe it was an off day for the naan...?
This place used to be our weekly weekend lunch but food taste/quality has dropped considerably from when I first went about 12 years ago to now... Sadly I can't say it's my favorite anymore...
The decor is fine. The food is very average. The Tandoori chicken was very dry. The naan was very hard. Not worth the price.
Even one is more fot it I had to do it because There is no less than one.One of the worst buffets I have ever eaten in Texas. Me and our frnds went for a buffet Chicken Tikka andSaag paneer is worst .
Always great service, always great food both vegetarian and meat. My friends and I have been going there for years. Good for groups too.
Go for dinner. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The food is just, wow. Be brave and try something different. You'll be glad you did.
Always a good quick dinner place near the house. Is there better Indian food in houston, maybe, but this place is consistantly delicious
Classic Indian flavors and plenty of dishes to choose from. The restaurant was a burger joint before and didn’t loose all of that vibe.
Quiet little place with great food and large portions. Will come back!
Very below average food and I don’t think if you are in Houston you can dine plenty of other nice places so avoid
This places is amazing employee are out of the world in service The food had lot Indian spices an taste amazing …
We went to Shiva Restorent around 2:00 PM we had some thing to respect like Dosa Idli but Dosa is not perfect cooking and Idly we not like restaurant (rating 0 number)
This place a friend took me to and it's great traditional Indian food and the people are nice and the menu explains what is in the dish.
Very tasty food and prices were great. The all you can eat lunch choices are great as well.
I come here regularly - they have tasty vegetarian dishes and offer great service. Would recommend!
Food and service are superb! Do not eat at the large table by the kitchen window though - it's uncomfortably warm.
Tasteless food. Not much of a buffet. No soap in the bathroom to wash hands. So where I'd the staff washing their hands. Too dark and horrible parking. Waste of money.
Ĺoooove the food!!Always excellent!!!I have been coming here forbuears, for years, now that I nolonger live in Houston,I always do when I'm back in town!-Going tomorrow for lunch, and I can't wait!!
One of my favorite Indian food restaurants. The Tikka Masala is great, and I also love the Murgh Shahi Korma. Also don't forget the Samosas!
I went to try it out too see if it was good .The service was very good i was seated as soon as i entered .They showed me there culture there way of cooking. GG
This place as a pretty good Indian buffet at lunch for a decent price. While the food is yummy, the selection is limited.
Excellent Indian restaurant. Loved the food. Best place to eat original Indian food. 10/10 would recommend
This was our first time trying Shiva. We ordered food to be delivered and it was delicious!
I had the desserts. The kheer was okay but the Rasmalai was really bad. I will not be returning.
The food was great it was wonderful it smells like indian life the manager was pretty nice he's name is vijay call him for party specials
Best quick ears for great price ' big portions great taste
We like to eat here, good tasty Indian food, great variety for vegetarians. Reasonable price.
Always enjoy eating at Shiva. Always a curry Or the Chicken Spinach one that's like saag paneer. Love the gulab jamun as well.
My friend introduced me to this place and I love the Indian food here. And when you ask for spicy. It is spicy.
I had a to-go order of paratha and onion bhajia and both were bad
My first time eating Indian food was at Shiva. The food and staff both where amazing! Excellent vegetarian options.
Great Indian food in a casual atmosphere. The lunch buffet is decent, but the dinner entrees are much better.
Buffet is not huge with a lot of selection but what is there is good quality. The goat Curry and the tikka masala was very tasty.
If you like good Indian food on the go Shiva is the place good taste easy buffet set-up good all around taste.
Food tasted yummy. Service was great and friendly waitress.
The Food is amazing and service is great! Great Indian food and loved the service! One of the best restaurants in Houston.
Decent lunch buffet. The food however was not very warm at all. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be coming back for the buffet.
This place smells bad and not good for authentic Indian food. Most of the food lacks spiciness and taste.
The garlic naan was a disappointment. It was kulcha instead without garlic chunks.
The tomato soup is phenomenal. Clean place. Very good food at an excellent price
So good, I go there often and the Chicken Tikka Masala is very good with the naan. I would also recommend the Paratha.
Great food. Awesome people. Love this place. Price not bad. Food is amazing
Long time regular, great food and makes the whole family welcome. My standard to judge all other Indian food by!
Complete waste of time and money!!. The taste of the food is not good. All gravies were not upto the mark. Jamoon and papad was made from old oil.
Incredible manager who clearly loves everything on his menu. Take time to talk to him and you'll find a new better dish
Great taste and staff is very polite. Chicken tikka masala and the spicy curry seafood plates are great.
Good Indian food. Good buffet. One of a kind for the area. Well patronized
Fantastic established and authentic neighborhood restaurant. Inner city great area close to Rice, med center, heart of the village.
Great local mainstay for Indian food. Attentive staff and wonderful dishes to tempt the palate.
Consistently delicious 😇 …
Best Indian in all of Houston! Have tried each chicken dish and can't decide which is my favorite
Love that I can get the buffet to go, my favorite day is Wednesday for the Tikka Masala chicken. Delish!
The best Indian food in Houston!!! Constantly amazing service every time we've been.
Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. Intimate ambiance and quiet (at least when I was there it was quiet).
The best food and the friendliest service at great prices
Awesome food and great service. Well worth it and will be returning again.
Shiva is a family favorite. The food is very good and the setting and decor add to the dining experience.
Really good food at reasonable prices. The kabobs are gigantic. Cool atmosphere.
Nice buffet of traditional Indian dishes for a great price.
Food is great and the staff are really friendly. Love their mala kofta, (vegetable balls)
Fantastic food and service. The spicy lamb and fresh naan were excellent
Serviceable all you can eat lunch buffet. Good Indian food for a moderate palate
Wow amazing food it’s so good and the flavors are all great.
Delivered totally wrong item and when we call them they respond rudely and bad manners, Customer service very rude. Never go this place and never ever recommendation.
Wonderful Indian food. Limited selection, but everything is very good.
This place is popular to many people, has been there for a while, I like the bread there but some of the food I'm not a big fan.
This place gives a bad name to Indian food (especially the buffet). This place should be called Shiva Indo-Mex Restaurant. There was very few options in the buffet, and the stuff that was there lacked flavor........this is a clever way to fool poor Americans who don't know Indian food.
Good but not as good as options in San Antonio. Limited lunch buffet plus 20 percent more costly
Really enjoy the lunch menu.
Excellent service and delicious food
Good food and good service!
Really good food. They close in the middle of the day so be sure to double check theirs hours before you go.
Food was average. We had ordered vegetarian thali.
Best Indian restaurant in Houston. Great food, friendly service and very good price.
The ambiance is dark and not at all good. The food is cheaply made and not fresh (At least I got that experience)
They don't allow any substitutions. Why not go to one of the million other restaurants in this city that allow you to order what you want?
The location is nice. The environment is warm. The food is moderate. The manager is nice but officious.
Great beer and curry, in a convenient location, HOT and delicious. Fabulous! must visit!
Great food, but they don't work from 3pm-5pm and that info is not available anywhere.
Great food, but 1 of the worst bathrooms I've ever seen . Filthy, dead roach, and it was in serious need of a facelift.
Lunch buffet was small, but very good! Nice, relaxed atmosphere.
A good dinner place with a beautiful sitting area and a different ambience !! The food was nice and fresh.
the goat vindaloo literally made me cry from being so spicy. it's so good.
Very authentic Indian restaurant although their dessert wasn't fresh
Is a really nice service and clean and the food is amazing ,😆 one of the best place in Houston …
Wow!! All I can say is delicious!! My first time here & we will for sure be back!!
An amazing taste adventure, cannot wait to return. Excellent management team , friendly staff.
Love this place! The chicken tikka masala is amazing and the mango lycée is a perfect desert.
one of my favorite Indian restaurants amazing with resnabal prices and the location is great
Absolutely delicious! Some of the best chicken tikka masala. It's addictive
Great buffet and location! But, usually quite warm in there and can be uncomfortable in Summer.
Great Indian buffet. Nice place to cool off and enjoy lunch.
Decent Indian food. Cooked for Americans, you won't be trying to put the fire out in your mouth.
Very impressed with the attentive service and the rich flavors. Would visit again for sure!
Nice place to have Asian / Indian foods with traditional atmosphere.
Great food and service! I really enjoyed eating Chicken Birjani
I have been going to Shiva's for many years and the food and Customer Service is always EXCELLENT !!!!
Once you enter, there is a pee smell, food is tasty, but not hygienic, cockroaches in your table around your silverware is common....
Excellent food. The manager was awesome. Highly recommend.
Coming from an Indian person, there are so many better options for Indian food in houston.
Bad customer service, they sat on the phone and ignored 4 customers waiting in an empty restaurant. It also had a stench in the restaurant that was un nerving.
Great portions and solid biryani
Below average for Indian restraint. One of the worst quality for tika masala in my life
The onion kulcha wasn’t good. It had some funny flavor and wasn’t tasty.
Food was not good, service was just as bad and unfortunately there was a terrible mold-like smell.
Our go-to place for take out. Great selection of veggie options, professional service.
I drive across town for takeout from here. Love the chicken tikka 🍽️ …
Food quality is average....less items than other Indian buffet...but price is $2-$3 higher than others
No like the food not perfect taste just I need
This is Authentic Indian food, love the atmosphere and the food is amazing!
Pathetic food, not enough for veggies, the dessert was better left unsaid, gave one star as it was the least
Nothing remarkable here. I think it was reasonably priced and they have AYCE buffet lunch here.
i was super full. there was quick, helpful, and friendly service. prices that won't shock you.
Dependable, middle of the road Indian food. Not fancy, but good.
Very good Indian food. Reasonable prices.
Absolutely delicious! This is a long time rice village favourite!
Curry chicken on the bone and spinach stuff are by far the best of the buffet
Still the best Indian place in Houston and one of the few places with free parking in the village
Highly recommend the sampler dishes on the last page of their menu.
Love their Sunday buffets! Great value and great food.
Amazing food and service. I can't say enough positive things aboit this place!
Love this place. Just give me a spoon and the tray of creamed spinach and bread
Always tasty and fresh.
Great Indian food at an awesome price!!! Best in Houston!
Pretty good Indian food! The entrance smells funny, though.
Waste of money. Bad service and unprofessional staff with lack of proper knowledge. Management really need to look in to food and services.
Awesome spicy delicious
Service was amazing, food was amazing, every aspect was great!
We love to eat here. It's our best.
Great food except it smells like a restroom.
Love Shiva's nice atmosphere, delicious food and good service.
I don't even know where to start on how bad the service is here. Just trust me on this one and don't disappoint yourself. Don't go!
this is the horrible place for Indian food there are so much better places out there don't go here you will REGET it!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been eating hear for years, it's always good
Very helpful staff, food is good and decent pricing.
The food was just okay... our server was nice.
Amazing food and the staff was as or even better than the food
Good buffet. The menu is constant, good prices.
The food was good but the server was not good
Excellent value. Tasty food.
Usually good. For today was tasteless, watered down if you will.
Great Sunday lunch spot!
Ordered paneer and tandoori chicken...full of color no taste waste of money!!!
Biryani was toooo bad. But the Sizzler was awesome.
Good food; Resturant old & smelly ; very good for takeaway
Great food. I would recommend the platters.
Restaurant looks great but the unstoppable music blaring on their website has completely turned me off. Stop it, PLEASE!
Very good lunch buffet with lots of choices.
The food smelled so good. I'll be back to try for myself
Great food, romantic ambience. Love Shiva
My go to spot for comfort food after a long day!
Great lunch buffet! Fantastic for dinner too!
The food was so good I felt like I was in Mumbai
Roaches everywhere. They were climbing on the wall, they were on the floor. The food was ok. Maybe it was the roaches?
If it looking for good Indian food.. Plz don't go
Food great! Servers not very helpful.
Very nice food and quickly served.
My go to …. Multiple times a week
First timer trying Indian food, I loved it !
Horrible service. I was there before a few customers, and the to go person helped everyone else first before me.
Great food. Great staff. Consistently.
The worst lamb biryani I ever ate in my life.
Amazing food authentic
Dine in Closed earlier than listed time. Food was not so good
Okay
Got uncooked chicken, Nan which was literally raw dough and stale leftover rice
Apparently the time is 9.30 and the kitchen is closed when they claim the restaurant closes at 10.
Great food... Service needs improving.
Food Quality is really bad, no taste
Good food, desserts were delicious.
Canceled my order after almost an hour wait
Very delicious and wonderful staff!
Wonderful place!! Loved the chai
Authentic Indian food. Would love to come here again.
Best Indian food in all of Houston, fight me about it.

We did take out and it was amazing!
Cozy and lovely atmosphere. Not crowded either
Tasty and authentic food, friendly staff
Great food, best Indian food in central Houston.
Very bad food and dirty restaurant and rubbish service don't waist your money.
Superb food. Very economical too.
Always hot, fresh, delicious and guilt-free
Goat curry outstanding
So delicious!
Awesome Indian food, highly recommended!
It's ok for a quick lunch or dinner..
The Shabnam-e-bahar and Dum alloo banarsi are fantastic!
A really great place. Just good food.
Very very Tasty.
"This place is great and for the price it can't be beat."
Noticed several small roaches at our table on the wall, promptly left
Always serve the best Indian food
Good food and a clean and serene environment.
The place smells bad , food is not that great
New management = horrible food.
Wow. Just wow. This place blew me away. Wish i lived closer.
