Texas's only Forbes Five-Star double-rated hotel and spa. The #1 hotel in Texas as ranked by U.S. News & World Report 2026. Soaring 38 stories above the glamorous Uptown Houston and Galleria district — one of the most prestigious, most celebrated, and most recognisably luxurious addresses in the entire state. For couples who have always known that their wedding should be nothing short of extraordinary — who have imagined a celebration that matches the depth of their love story with an equal depth of grandeur, elegance, and world-class hospitality — The Post Oak Hotel is Houston's singular and unrivalled answer.

Two expansive pre-function spaces extend the event footprint beautifully — creating the seamless, flowing multi-space experience that multi-day South Asian wedding weekends demand — while the total 35,000 sq. ft. of event space and combined capacity of up to 1,600 guests ensure that no celebration, regardless of its scale, its ambition, or the size of the family it brings together, ever feels constrained, crowded, or anything less than perfectly and luxuriously accommodated.

The culinary experience at The Post Oak is as extraordinary as the venue itself — and at a Five-Star property of this distinction, that is saying something exceptional. With Mastro's Steakhouse, Willie G's Seafood, and King Ranch Texas Kitchen all on property, and an exceptional concierge and events team ensuring that every menu, every course, every presentation, and every moment of dining service at your wedding reflects the unwavering Five-Star standard that defines The Post Oak in every aspect of its operation — the food and beverage experience at your celebration will be as memorable, as meticulously crafted, and as genuinely world-class as every other element of the evening.

By far the best hotel experience I've ever had. The staff was incredible and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, especially the team at the pool and bar. We were in Houston for the FIFA match, and the hotel made the weekend even better by surprising our group with game-day kits delivered to our rooms, complete with handheld fans and Liquid I.V. packets. It was such a thoughtful touch. The suites are incredibly spacious, and having some of the best restaurants all connected to the same complex made everything so convenient. I would only stay here again and highly recommend.

Everything, the property, food, and drinks are 10/10 but the professionalism, attentiveness, and kindness of the staff is really exceptional. Even in a random encounter with a staff member they'll greet you and check in on you regardless of their role. Luxury is easy but hospitality on this level is rare. It's also worth noting that they have the proper level of staffing needed to deliver this service. We have seen so many luxury hotels dramatically cut down their staff over the past few years and it shows in the service. We're going to be regulars.

Great stay, they are welcoming and the rooms are clean, beautiful and spacious. They offer everything that you can think of that you may need. The turn down service was amazing. The view was great! We're in Texas so some of the people looked at us like we weren't supposed to be there or didn't belong but that did not stop the moment of enjoying the stay. Its crazy to me that people wake up like this....smile more peeps and enjoy life! Overall great hotel and will return for sure.

I recently had the pleasure of making Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston my home away from home for a full week. It is clear that this hotel is deeply rooted in "Unreasonable Hospitality." From the very beginning I was impressed, Isaiah Morrison's personalized attention and attention to detail shined bright at the outset of our stay. For those who visit in the future, I hope you are as fortunate as we were to be able to be so greatly cared for and attentively attend to by such a gracious gentleman. From start to finish to food to furnishings, I fully submerged myself in what the "soil" has to offer. Seeds (acorns) were planted in my heart from this beautiful stay that will surely continue to grow even more gratitude. I plan on continuing to spread the word about the greatness of this hotel. Post Oak Hotel is a canopy of luxury of which you can find your greatest rest and recreation. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

Everything in this hotel is wonderful, and the service is generally of a very high standard - except for housekeeping. They are extremely loud in the corridors from 10 a.m. all day long, talking to each other very loudly, singing, and slamming doors. On top of that, I always leave tips, but even that doesn’t seem to improve their service. They don’t leave the vanity kit or water, and they’re too lazy to arrange the pillows properly. Definitely, they need more training.

This is a place where you come to spend money and get harassed by someone acting as law enforcement. This guy scared my little daughter she started shaking had to run back to the restaurant. Worst place in Houston! South will remain faithful to its traditions.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Exquisite attention to every detail. The rooms have small details that I'd never seen, from the light under the bed that turns on when you step out of bed to a mystery shelf in the shower that I'm just guessing is to help women when shaving their legs, lol. Beyond the rooms, the pool is very beautiful and peaceful. The staff at the pool are very accommodating, asking after your every need. The staff in the entire hotel was spectacular. Very polite, very helpful, always happy. If I ever find myself back in Houston, this is the ONLY place I will stay!

This is my second time staying at this hotel, and both times were for business meetings. The staff is fantastic. Everyone is so pleasant and make you feel welcome. The rooms are amazing! I've traveled a lot for work and the first time I stayed here I was a little star struck! The room has tablet and wall controls for the lights and drapes. The TV is in a cabinet that raises with a remote control. The bathroom is gorgeous. I can't say enough about how nice this place is. The H bar and Craft F&B are always amazing.

I think the biggest room for improvement would be the valet experience and management. That is definitely where we felt the entire stay fell short and per other reviews, was not just us. For valet being the first true experience at your hotel, you would prefer to start stronger than weaker. We are a younger couple and upon arrival (after a long day of work) we weren’t dressed to the highest class and not in the nicest vehicle. You can tell there’s a priority selection based on what you’re driving or wearing and (possibly) even age. We didn’t get the same experience upon arrival that other guests received which is upsetting. The next morning I went home to grab a nicer vehicle to test my theory, and ofc arriving back our doors were opened and we were treated like guest. Unfortunately, leaving was a big headache. We waited over 2 hours outside & in the lobby for our vehicle to be located, yes that is right, Located. I understand things get busy, the hotel hosted a wedding and PGA guest so I wasn’t too upset about my vehicle being lost as I was the customer service. We sat in the lobby pretty blindly not knowing the status of my vehicle, we weren’t reassured, provided with any information or even approached by a manager with an apology. I watched (to whom I assume is a manager) a middle aged white male in a darker blue suit walk right beside us (a handful of times) making eye contact. He spoke to other guest having issues but never addressed either of us and another darker skinned taller gentleman that walked around very unbothered by the situation. We had reservations that morning we had to cancel and I had to personally reschedule an appointment with a high valued client of mine due to this delay. As a young successful entrepreneur with a business that mainly thrives off of customer service & satisfaction, I didn’t feel this was 5 star hotel worthy. The valet attendees expressed their deepest apologies which I am grateful for, I just hope the valet management can come to turns to realize that every guest deserves the same customer experience as the first one. No matter age, wealth or race at the end of the day they are paying customers at your facility. As much as I enjoyed the stay, I am not certain as of now if it’ll be worth staying again. Do I bring a lower value car and not get the service expected outside or do I bring one of our nicer vehicles and risk it getting lost again? 5 stars for the remaining of the staff and hotel. Minus the entire valet experience, everything else was great.

Getting there is hell. Be prepared for the last mile to take at least 15-20 minutes. Same for getting out. However, once there, everything is nearby. The staff are untrained and unprepared for the price you will pay. The front desk took over 45 minutes to accommodate a room change request. This is after confirming that the desired room was available and was cleaned. They had to consult 4 different people in how to make the change. The food and restaurant service is ok. Again for the prices, I expect better. The building and rooms are nice. For a high end experience that PO wants to offer, they need to train their staff better.

BEFORE STATING WHY ONLY 1 ⭐️ for service, let me say....Absolutely beautiful, stunning, gorgeous hotel. Christmas display is something to see. From the chandeliers to the floor, every detail is magnificent and top-of-the-line outstanding. Pretty much every staff member is eager to assist, smiles, and is very courteous. Why 1 ⭐️ for service - The head valet should be retrained or sent to the back-of‐the‐house operations, though. It's obvious he treats guests differently. He needs to understand that not everyone driving an expensive car is wealthy and will only tip you = that's who you should only give your attention and best service to. He was snobbish, arrogant, and dismissive not only upon entering, but exiting, valet. I observed this and experienced it. FIVE STAR means every guest is treated with grace, style, excellence, and class. He did not exemplify that. The doorman (large frame gentleman) was excellent and so friendly. I wish i had gotten his name. A gentleman by the name Mousa, who escorted us where we needed to be, was excellent and genuinely friendly. But the head valet and one gentleman (who seemed to be his #2) are only looking to put their best foot forward for seemingly wealthy or tipping guests. I have been in the retail, corporate business,non-profit/disaster-crisis, entertainment, and tipping service industries 35+ years. I was at the Four Seasons the night before for an event - everyone was onboard with excellent service. I'm 1000% sure the owner of this hotel would be displeased. They wouldn't even look at or talk to guests driving anything less than an̈ expensive car. Again,I experienced it! They wouldn't even smile. Sir, a hint of advice, YOU NEVER KNOW WHO IT IS YOU ARE SERVICING. BE KIND AND GIVE EVERYONE YOUR BEST!!! One day, the person who gives you a $5 tip could come back and tip $50. You are in the service industry. One bad experience, or word of your poor service, can ruin not only a guest's experience but your career and, most importantly, get your five-star hotel rating knocked down. You put a stink on the beautiful opulence of that wonderful hotel.

My company, Atirela, is a local balloon artistry service, and I was hired to provide decorations for a holiday Christmas party. The hotel is stunning, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, with valet parking being the best choice. As an event planner and decorator, I feel it’s important to highlight when a venue works so harmoniously with us. I will definitely recommend this location to others.

This hotel is AMAZING! Wow. From the valet parking team opening and closing the door for us with a big smile, to the receptionist explaining everything, letting us know about the great restaurants and walking us to the elevator. Also Jose, our kind and helpful bellman showing us the room, lights, speaker system, etc. We also had the pleasure to meet one of the housekeepers, getting our room ready with slippers and chocolates. She was so kind and made sure we had everything we needed… lastly we ordered room service and Leah was very sweet, presented our absolutely delicious dinner. Even the water on the flowers vase was cold. Bravo for your attention to details, taste to classy luxury high end finishes. Fantastic Experience! Spotless and impeccable hotel from A to Z

Absolutely gorgeous hotel! Stunning and luxurious from the driveway to the room. When you pull into the valet area you are surrounded by a Bentley dealership mixed with Bugatti and Rolls Royce. If that doesn’t scream luxury, I don’t know what does. Valet is there to greet you and take your vehicle, grab your door, your luggage etc. The lobby is beautiful with gorgeous decor and the hotel pool back drop behind reception. Absolutely beautiful and you definitely feel like you have been transported into a different place when you enter the building. The spa and fitness center are state of the art with Technogym equipment and enough equipment to get a very solid workout in. Situated in a great area in Houston, you can’t go wrong at this hotel. Mastros steakhouse is right there along with various restaurants and small bite places located inside the hotel. Highly recommend!! Service is impeccable!

My business partner and I started doing work retreats this year. The Post Oak was the second of three. It's good that it wasn't first as it would have spoiled it for all others that followed! It's truly a five-star hotel. While we didn't stay overnight, everything we did was perfect. Our day started with a poolside lunch at The Bloom and Bee. The decor, food, wine, and service were fantastic. The crabcakes were the best I've ever had. We also had an excellent tuna poke, paired with our new favorite sauvignon blanc sancerre. After lunch, we popped in to Bouchee, the adorable pastry shop. Although the pastries looked spectacular, we decided to have another glass of our new favorite wine before our spa treatments. I believe the Post Oak is the best spa in the Houston area! Selection of treatments, therapies, ambiance, and service are unmatched. By the way, when you get spa treatments, your valet cost goes down by $20. After the spa, we went to Stella's for some charcuterie. We loved how you could put together your own board. It was delicious! Like The Bloom and Bee, and Bouchee, Stella's also had outdoor seating. It had warmed up just enough to keep us inside, though. We're looking forward to our next retreat!

My visit to Houston Post-oak Hotel Spa, was amazing! My experience exceeded expectations. Alfred greeted me upon arrival with a heartfelt welcoming. Alfred was dressed in a nice tailored suit. Alfred, the front desk manager checked me in for my appointment that took less than 3 minutes. Then Alfred, introduced me to lovely Miranda, who gave me a mini tour of the Spa facility. Miranda who was very kind, answered all of my questions then walked me to the locker room after my tour, so I could begin getting prepared for my massage. Miranda, was very knowledgeable & professional. Once I showered and changed for my massage, Heather my massage therapist, came introduced herself to me then walked me back to my room. Heather consulted with me first asking if I had any problems areas. Heather applied pressure that was comfortable throughout my massage. I give Heather a 10/10 for a wonderful massage experience . I highly recommend The PostOak Hotel & Spa. I understand why this is a five star Hotel & Spa. Kudos to Alfred, Miranda & Heather for outstanding customer service.

My original 1star review was for the reservations department. I was so happy to find out that person wasn't actually working at the property.... My stay was nothing less than amazing from start to finish! The customer service was unmatched! The pool area is beautiful and they even have a hot tub which was a pleasant surprise. Luxury at it's finest! Room service was very impressive. Requests for items were delivered within 5 minutes, in room dining within 20 minutes! Make sure to visit the Spa. There is a sauna, steam room and a tranquility pool. All your needs are completely catered to. The Spa is worth the experience. They also have a very diverse group of staff (representing the diversity of Houston!) who were all genuinely friendly. Very pricey hotel but worth the splurge. Take note that there is a dress code of business casual within the hotel.

I have been coming to the hotel for many years now. Manly F&B and Bouchee. I am writing this review because I feel like I have to say something so hopefully management pays attention, because I know what upper management strive for. I would say 70% of the times I have been at F&B, they messed up my food or I had to wait for a long time to get it. If it was not for my wife I would not be coming here again. Today I am having to wait for 65 min to get an order of wings, done again and of course they lost a ticket for the other order, the manager said that he’ll understand if we have to go to some other place. I finally get my fungi flat bread and it is cold and runny. It is a shame that this is the service we get here now.

Google Comment: I don't know why this five-star hotel divided the family suite into two single rooms and sold them to guests. When I checked in, I thought the middle door was another space in the room, but when I pushed open the other door and found that it was another guest's room, I was scared. I immediately decided to call the front desk and recorded a video as evidence. The first group of people came over to fix the door lock on my side, but they didn't handle the door next door. I don't even know who the next door is. As a result, the hotel let us two strangers live in the same family suite, and both sides could open each other's doors. I called the front desk again and... You said you didn't close the door next door, how can you ensure safety? Another group of people came over to tell me that the lock was fixed, I asked them to lock the other door in the room next door, and they did. I don't know why such a terrible and serious thing happened in a five-star hotel, which can be considered my disclaimer. We have been tired all day and now the next door is back, having a party It really has no sound insulation effect at all. I have never encountered a star rated hotel that can put strangers in the same family room and continue to endure the noise from next door

I recently had the privilege of staying at The Post Oak Hotel in Houston, and I have to say, this is one of the most luxurious stays I’ve ever experienced. Having traveled and stayed in some of the best hotels around the world, The Post Oak is in a league of its own. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was immersed in an atmosphere of sophistication, elegance, and top-tier service. Upon entering my room, I was immediately impressed by the seamless integration of technology with comfort. One of the standout features was the room’s tablet, which allowed me to control everything with ease—from the drapes to the lighting, making the space feel personalized to my preferences. The attention to detail in the room's design, the comfort of the furnishings, and the overall ambiance were simply top-notch. And let’s not forget the thoughtful welcome amenity, which added an extra layer of hospitality to the experience. The amenities at The Post Oak are something to marvel at. I spent some time at the pool area, and trust me, photos and videos just don’t capture how stunning it is in person. With downtown Houston serving as a backdrop, especially during golden hour, the views are breathtaking. The pool area is spacious, tranquil, and the perfect place to relax after a day in the city. Whether you're lounging poolside or exploring the hotel grounds, the level of luxury is evident in every detail. One of the unique aspects of The Post Oak is the clientele it caters to. During my stay, I happened to be on the same floor as celebrities like Kate Michelle and Chris Middleton, which speaks to the exclusivity of the hotel. From high-end wine bars to world-class dining options and luxury shopping all within the hotel, The Post Oak makes it so you never have to leave the premises to enjoy the best of what Houston has to offer. Every corner of the hotel exudes class, and the service is attentive without being intrusive. Security is another key highlight of The Post Oak. They are serious about maintaining the privacy and comfort of their guests, which is why there are strict rules against photography and videography in public areas. While this might seem limiting to some, it actually enhances the overall experience, ensuring that you can fully enjoy your stay in a private, exclusive environment. Thankfully, I was there for work, creating content for the hotel, which allowed me to take some beautiful shots and videos that will be part of an official project. Post Oak Hotel is stunning! It was my first time staying overnight and it was everything the website shows you. The arrival experience was good; valet was professional, quick and courteous. The room was gorgeous, clean, and there was so much attention to detail. The bathroom and all the marble made it so luxurious and relaxing. The room was also equipped with speakers throughout the room to enjoy. The beds were actually very comfortable and pillows were perfect. We had a nice view and enjoyed the entire space. The hotel staff and concierge were so polite and friendly. We asked for a mini fridge for the room and they delivered it so quickly. This was an excellent stay and experience.

Isaiah was the ABSOLUTE BEST!!! He made our experience at the Post Oak exceptional and was knowledgeable about the restaurants and shopping close by. The hotel is absolutely beautiful! Chefs kiss to the Bouchee Patisserie! Remember to ask for Isaiah

We had a great experience. I was a little taken off by the request to cover my shoulders with a gorgeous pink scarf but also very happy because it’s so cold in that place. Chelsea was our server and had the best suggestion for a cab. The spicy tuna sushi was perfect. But the absolute cherry on top was the help from David? Maybe that was his name. He said he was there for only 8 months but had service like he was there when they opened the doors. I can’t wait to come back.

Maggie in the H bar was absolutely amazing… 100 star service.. It was as if she just welcomed us into her home.. The warmest, friendly personality and best hostess on the planet.. She had an award winning smile that just lit up the room.. She catered to every guest with the upmost care.. 100% Rockstar!!!!

Brought my mother-in-law and family to the Mother’s Day Brunch in Paris event and had a wonderful time. The staff is very attentive from the moment you walk in, the food was delicious, and the patisserie had a large variety of finely detailed pastries. Great experience!

Arrival experience was seamless. I was checked in and escorted to my suite all in less than 20 minutes! My suite was elegantly decorated and spacious. The dining options were plentiful and the pool was cool and relaxing. Our poolside cabana was also spacious and comfortable.

Stayed at this 5-star hotel recently and was uncomfortable with what I observed in the lobby. Several women in revealing clothing were hanging around for hours, not appearing to be guests. I even saw one approach a man by the pool. It felt inappropriate and raised concerns, especially given that prostitution is illegal in Texas. Disappointed that security did nothing about it. Not the experience I expected from a high-end hotel.

I've stayed here in the past and was extremely pleased. The size of the tub, the surround sound in the room, the remote curtains, the elegantly decorated bathroom, the entryway welcome tray, and so much more were above and beyond! The atmosphere is amazing. The service, H-bar, and the staff were all exceptional.

Not sure what’s 5 stars about it. The employees are rude and disingenuous. They play music so loud all throughout the day until midnight. Not everyone is partying at 11pm. I don’t recommend staying here if you prefer peace.

The best five star hotel in Houston. The finest in luxury living. From the moment you walk in you are treated like a VIP guest. The staff is very friendly and explains every aspect of this amazing hotel. The rooms are well appointed, with luxury products in the bathroom. Huge showers and soaking tubs. Very comfortable ropes and slippers. The finest most comfortable beds you can lay in. The hotel bars are amazing, though the dress codes are enforced in some them. The on site restaurants offer a variety of fine dining to causal. All on site restaurants are amazing and tasty. The public areas of the hotel are beautifully appointed, and give off a very luxurious vibe. Everything about this hotel is 5 stars all the way. Would recommend this property over the other luxury hotels in the city.

I wanted to express my deepest gratitude for the exceptional assistance in planning the engagement of my assistant at The Post Oak Hotel. From the moment I shared my vision with Leah, she went above and beyond, ensuring every detail was perfect. Her dedication and enthusiasm were truly remarkable. Leah, your collaboration with Judith made the process seamless. I appreciate the effort you both put into making the surprise engagement a reality in just one week. The future Mr. & Mrs. are overwhelmed with joy, and it wouldn't have been possible without your patience and willingness to go the extra mile. Judith was so patient and helpful throughout the night. She assured the future husband that everything will be fine. The outstanding support and attention to detail from the reserved table with rose petals by the fire, butter cake from Mastro’s and the chilled champagne to celebrate, has left an everlasting impression on all of us. Thank you once again to everyone that was involved. We truly enjoyed a very special engagement on New Year’s Eve!

Booked their base room through Amex FHR, and upon arrival they upgraded me to their residential suite— equipped with a kitchen (fridge, sink, gas range, microwave) and a gorgeous marble bathroom with a massive soaking tub and shower. This was my second stay here, and it’s now my go to hotel in Houston. Absolutely worth staying here, especially when booking via the American Express fine hotels and resorts program.

If you’re looking for a motel 6 type of stay with 5 star pricing- this is the place for you. The staff was miserable. They had no pillows, no blankets, no cribs, no roll away beds as our double room was switched to a king and they had no solution to fix the problem. When asking the front desk what our options were, they asked me if I needed help ordering blankets or a pack and play from door dash. My mind was blown at the unprofessional response! We’ve been loyal customers to the post oak, but will never be back again after this experience

BEAUTIFUL. LUXURIOUS. CLEAN. Above all else, the service and staff are amazing.Absolutely amazing. No matter what the occasion, Paulo has helped us out tremendously to make sure things run smooth. He is a master at his craft and always goes about and beyond. This is a beautifully built hotel, I love the interior design. They have the cutest little coffee shop and other restaurants attached or within walking distance. They also have a house car that will pick you up and take you if you prefer. They also offer the Oak Room, which is a beautiful spot that overlooks Houston-the best view in my opinion! I love having my stay-cations here!! The spa is a super serene atmosphere-spend the day here and you will feel like you're walking on a cloud! The service and staff are unmatched. We take our dog and he is always treated like family. The last time, we were welcomed with a dog collar, custom pet friendly menu and macaroons!! We love the Post Oak. We will be coming back for many, many more visits!

Update on 7/16/2024 Still no resolution from the business 2 months after incident occurred. --- I had a deeply disappointing experience with the Post Oak Hotel regarding an erroneous $34 valet charge on my credit card posted on May 12, 2024. The charge did not correspond to any vehicle I used or authorized. Despite promptly contacting the hotel and providing the necessary details from my credit issuer, Chase, as well as reopening the case with Chase and filing a report with the Federal Trade Commission, I have received no resolution. The hotel initially acknowledged the issue and promised a follow-up, but it's now been 9 days with absolutely no communication with this issue now an ongoing 2-month issue. The lack of response or action to address the incorrect charge and the subsequent complete silence from the hotel’s management is unacceptable. This level of service is a far cry from what I expected, and it has severely damaged my trust in their ability to manage such matters effectively. Given the circumstances, I am compelled to warn others about my experience. The handling of this situation has been extremely unprofessional and frustrating. I will not be returning to the Post Oak Hotel and strongly advise caution to anyone considering using their valet services or staying at this property.

This hotel is breathtaking. There is no better word other than “perfect” to describe the staff, amenities, food, and location of this hotel. I surprised my husband with a weekend staycation for Father’s Day and the The Post Oak Hotel’s entire team was extremely accommodating. We booked the executive suite that had multiple views of the city from the sitting area and the bedroom. It was absolutely gorgeous.

We are an upper middle class Mexican Family and decided to stay at The Post Oak Hotel Uptown Houston because of its location. When we first arrived the Lady at the front desk was super nice The valet guy was extremely helpful and friendly. We stayed there for 5 nights and we slept super good the hotel is very quiet and I love how the drapes in the room make it so dark that you don't ever want to wake up. We did not felt discriminated at all like other people mentioned. The only thing I did not like so much was the Valet. We came to visit so it's a bit uncomfortable having someone get our car like 3 times in one day😶

People rave about the Post Oak. In my expense while they do a very fine job at large dinners and events there are better and the one consistent failure is the valet. When you ask folks they are universal in their condemnation. Yes large events are hard, and yes everyone leaves at the same time and yes despite the planning you would expect , they fail. Crowed places to wait, poor organization and brutal design of the staging area makes a bad situation worse. Given its reputation and desire to standout - in this case it does, for all the wrong reasons.

The highlight was the lobby and service. We stayed during the holidays and their decorations are extremely elegant. The staff were all highly professional and many remembered my name after meeting me once. This applies especially to the head of service, Carlos. However the room itself left something to be desired. The materials and construction of the bathroom were disappointing. The bathroom needed a few repairs (tub plug was not working and shower head was surprisingly small for the size of the shower)

I don't know where exactly to start on complimenting everything and everyone in this hotel. From the time you pull into the entrance until the time you check out, everything is perfect. The valet staff are the friendliest you will ever encounter. They make you feel so welcomed. Post oak is honestly like a second home to my fiancé and I for the past 2 Years. I would truly like to give a special thank you to Judith. She goes above and beyond to make sure guests are well taken care of. I can't imagine this hotel without such a valuable person like herself. She makes you feel so appreciated each time you walk in. She deserves then highest promotion that Post Oak offers. She is such a valuable asset to this hotel. The pool staff Hensen, Abby, Victor, Rashaad and Jose are phenomenal. I get such a family feel being around them all. The service they provide is impeccable. So attentive and such a pleasure anytime I visit the pool. I can go on and on with so many names of everyone and their service they provide. Just know if you're considering visiting Houston, there is NO other place you should stay other than Post Oak Hotel. I appreciate every single staff at this hotel and how they make you feel the minute you walk in!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience that surpassed all my previous five-star hotel stays. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by a team of professional and courteous staff who made every effort to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable. The service was impeccable, demonstrating a level of hospitality that is rare to find. The culinary journey I embarked on during my stay was nothing short of amazing. Bloom and Bee, with its vibrant atmosphere and exquisite cuisine, offered a delightful dining experience. Every sushi dish was a treat, perfectly prepared and presented. My birthday dinner at Mastro's Steakhouse was an unforgettable experience. The ambiance was perfect for a celebration, and the food was simply divine. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the sides and desserts were equally impressive. It was a birthday dinner I will remember for a long time. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the time spent lounging by the pool, which was an absolute delight. The service was excellent, with attentive staff ensuring that every need was catered to. The food and drinks served were top-notch, adding to the overall luxurious experience. Chris from HBar is an incredibly talented mixologist, he crafted some of the most exquisite cocktails I've ever had. Each drink was a perfect blend of flavors, showcasing the expertise and creativity that goes into their preparation. The Post Oak Hotel is more than just a place to stay; it's a destination that offers a unique blend of luxury, comfort, and exceptional service. Whether you're in Houston for business or pleasure, I highly recommend The Post Oak Hotel for an unforgettable stay.

This review is for the spa only. The staff at the front desk were very warm and welcoming. Same with the attendant who made sure I was comfortable and relaxed during my time there. They treated me to complimentary champagne for my birthday. One of the staff noticed I was reading at one point and invited me to relax in a quiet space, which I didn't even know existed - I appreciate the proactiveness on her behalf. I got the tiaga massage - the therapist did an excellent job on the massage and the music playlist(!!). Only (small) area of improvement is there was not quite enough light to read in the quiet room and the other relaxing area that did have enough light also had a woman talking loudly on facetime as though she were at home. Overall, I will be back for a spa day and next time I will stay the night.

If you’re looking to spend a lot of money on a lot of hotel this is the place to do it. The staff are incredibly well trained and professional. The restaurants are incredibly well-stocked and have very yummy food that screams high quality. Largest wine inventory in TX, so you best believe there is wine for you. This was my first time visiting Houston. I just needed to relax away from home, and work. I don't think I could have picked a better place to stay. Unfortunately I didn't get to experience the city much because everything I needed was right here, and I didn't really want to leave. The food was good, the bars were nice, the staff was friendly, and the rooms were truly one of a kind. The ambiance at the pool during the day, and at night was amazing. The complimentary ride service really came in handy for me to go shopping. I can't wait to go back again.

I came here to shop at the cute shops and patisserie that is next to the hotel. There is no retail parking. There are less then 10 retail spots available. There is a sign further away that is designed for retail and when I pulled in there a valet told me that I had to valet even to shop at the retail shops. Valet is 17$. They need more retail parking if they want outsiders to come shop and enjoy the area. Will not come again.

Stayed for one night. Felt like royalty! Spa was nice, but not the best. Room was comfortable and staff was accommodating and attentive. Food was delicious! Probably wouldn't go back, but definitely worth doing once. Surround sound was amazing. Bed was a little too soft for my liking, but I know people like it like that. I don't like how there isn't a separate light for the water closet and you have to turn on all the bathroom lights for the toilet light. Every little detail was great. Loved it!!!

My girlfriends and I stayed at The Post Oak for Mother's Day weekend 2022 to celebrate a birthday. The experience and service here was top tier! I have to make sure to mention those in particular that stood out. Edison brought up our luggage and immediately got our celebration started. He showed us how to sync our music to the Bluetooth and had us smiling and laughing. He explained how to request anything we needed which was so helpful. We spent the next day by the pool for several hours and was treated like royalty by Lorraina! We spent well over $500 with her, and although we kept her very busy she remained so sweet the entire time. We absolutely loved her! Henson was also very attentive to us by the pool. The service was so great we went back the next morning and asked for her by name. The Post Oak is an excellent upscale place to stay. The amenities and decor are nice but it's the employees who make this place a gem!

I would give this place 10stars if I could! Your experience starts as soon as you book the room! I had the best customer service when I called to see if they allow service animals, the lady I spoke to was so sweet. They even had a dog bed, treats, toys and a scarf waiting for my baby when I walked in the room. I honestly wanted to stay in the room the whole time but had an event to go to that evening. For $648 I would expect the room to at least be clean. Due to the virus, there should be measures in place for sanitation between visitors. The front desk clerk was cordial and the bell hop was very attentive. Otherwise the cleanliness is what took me out for the price! There were several cup or water rings all over the nightstands and luckily I brought along my own Lysol wipes. Due better Post Oak.

*Unjust Treatment and Questionable Practices at a Luxury Hotel * My experience at the Post Oak Hotel was profoundly disappointing. On the second night of my stay, the hotel failed to secure an adequate deposit initially and subsequently attempted to charge my credit card twice, triggering a fraud alert. I was notified of this issue late in the evening while I was out enjoying dinner. Shockingly, within an hour, the hotel locked me out of my room, causing undue stress, embarrassment, and significant inconvenience. The manner in which I was treated was not only distasteful but deeply unsettling. This experience suggests a troubling flaw in the hotel’s policies, or perhaps something more concerning, such as discriminatory practices. I will certainly not be returning.

Honestly, I had to get on here and make a review for this spot. I literally haven't had a more pleasant stay at a hotel in a very long time. It was EXCEPTIONAL. The person who brought my breakfast order did a great job as well. I ended up leaving a bag of mine in the room on the way to check out. He happened to be picking up the tray at the time and let me know I left it. Very cool! The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are FULLY equipped with everything you could possibly need during your stay. They even had weights in the room for an in-room workout. The turn down treats were tasty and the beds were comfy. The technology all worked well, was able to place the food order using the tablet in the room. The lights and curtains worked well from the physical buttons but the tablets seemed to have a lag or didn't really work to open/close curtains and turn off/on lights. I'm a button masher so it made for quite the show when it caught up with mashing lol. Definitely hope to make it back here soon.

So I’ve been to this hotel multiple times especially to the H bar. We always love it. Maria the bartender was absolutely rude by not giving drinks on time. Putting others ahead of me while that we’re dressed a certain way and let’s just say of a certain skin color. Complete attitude when I asked her for anything or even my bill to settle out. I was a valued patron purchasing 4 to 5 items not just one. on time complete attitude. I’ve been here multiple times and the service is always great& impeccable. I’ve worked in a service industry all my life and this is not a way to treat your patrons when you are serving high dollar high class items in and a high class hotel. I would recommend you check out both of the hotel Zaza‘s, or hotel Moran in city center, or hotel Galvez the service is much better there. I’m so disappointed in a hotel that is owned by Tillman Fertitta a Houston restaranteur great! who is known for having the best in the country. This is a very disappointing. I would definitely recommend not coming here. Even though I was very compliant, cognizant, & respectful of the attire and the requests made by the front door staff.

The valet service was absolutely unacceptable. It’s outrageous to charge so much when my car was returned filthy, and the staff didn’t listen to my concerns, instead interrupting me during the phone call. Hard to get accommodated when you’re not a guest of the hotel and valet was “complimentary”. Still. Something’s off about this place !

Absolutely beautiful hotel with every attention to detail considered. We had our big corporate 50th Gala and Company party here and we’re not disappointed for a black tie affair! Hotel staff was on point and valet service was speedy and efficient! The bartenders know how to make a great atmosphere coupled with the live music and ballerinas!! Truly a unique experience for any big company in Houston!! Great job Tillman another hometown home run!!

Beware of valet parking your car at The Post Oak. This one star is because they damaged my gear shift and do not want to take accountability for what their valet staff did to my vehicle. I went to have brunch with my mother on February 22, 2025. When I gave my car to valet, my gear shift was perfectly fine. It was not coming a part whatsoever. When I received my vehicle back, I noticed there was a rubber band wrapped around my gear shift. When I took the rubber band off, my gear shift was broken and then came a part. I immediately told the valet manager about it and they tried to make it seem like it was already like that. I have no reason to lie. I can afford to pay for any damage that I may cause to my vehicle, but I won’t do, is pay for damages that someone else was responsible for doing. I do not believe they intentionally tried to break my gear shift; however, it does not negate the fact that it was damaged by one of their valet staff member's. It was the audacity to put a rubber band around it as a disguise that really irritated me the most. They really tried to insult my intelligence as if I wouldn’t notice what they have done to my vehicle. I will be reaching out to corporate, and I hope they will read this, and I am in the process of taking legal action because it is the principle. Please take photos before giving your car to valet to avoid any mishaps. I am now in a fight for what is right! God will take care of this. I just want to help others not have to go through what I am going through currently.

My wife and I recently stayed at The Post Oak Hotel for our babymoon, hoping to celebrate this special occasion in style. There’s no doubt that the hotel itself is stunning — the architecture, décor, and especially the pool area are absolutely gorgeous. The food was also delicious and met our expectations for a luxury property of this caliber. However, we were disappointed by the level of service, especially considering The Post Oak holds a Michelin Key award and is positioned among Houston’s most elite hotels. I had emailed the hotel ahead of time to share that we were celebrating our babymoon. I asked if they had any recommendations for things to do during our stay, whether they could provide a maternity or nursery pillow for my wife (who is 7 months pregnant), and if there were any specific benefits through Capital One Travel, which we used to book our stay. To my surprise, the responses were vague and unhelpful. The staff member who replied didn’t seem familiar with Capital One Travel at all, and none of my questions were adequately answered. What was even more disappointing was the complete lack of acknowledgment of our babymoon — no congratulations at check-in, no small welcome gesture, not even a mention from the concierge team (who, as far as I can tell, were never looped in to assist). The maternity pillow I specifically requested was never prepared or mentioned during our stay. While we enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and overall ambiance of the hotel, the service experience simply didn’t live up to the standard we expected. During the same trip, we also stayed at the Four Seasons Houston, where the service was attentive, thoughtful, and truly elevated the experience — a sharp contrast to what we received at Post Oak. This hotel has immense potential and offers a luxurious environment, but service is where it needs to improve to truly stand alongside the world’s best.

The rooms are fantastic. You want for nothing. The front desk welcomes you, as does everyone, but they fall short on great service. Breakfast takes the better part of an hour. The billing system is shocking. It takes multiple calls to resolve matters. The shining lights are the unsung housekeeping staff, the valet and free town car service. Awesome, It elevates this hotel.

This hotel was like a paradise, it was beautiful, it smelt good walking in just like the goodies for you in the bathroom. The pool was amazing, I have so many pictures but chose something simple. My name on the tv screen in the bathroom. This hotel was close to our destination at the time and was very convenient. The many cars on the inside and out, the breakfast bar, coffee bar. The only complaint I had was the employee (hispanic) guy that stopped me and my husband by asking us "if we had a room here". I was appalled that he would stop us and ask as if we just stopped by just to look around. I didn't know if I should of felt offended or just brush it off . So I politely laughed and said "Yes we do have a room" and proceeded to the pool area. I was so happy to see how beautiful the pool was, I wasn't going to let anyone steal my joy. Other than that, it's a great place over $800 a night and me and my hubby really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Post Oak I do recommend this hotel. I do suggest a little bit more training for the employees to know and understand that just because we don't look the same doesn't mean we don't belong somewhere or can't afford to be. Alot of us Black people have Millions and Billions, don't let our color fool you.

I am very dissatisfied and disappointed in this location. We just wanted a quick staycation during the week and this place did everything they could to disappoint. The pool closes at 7PM? In Houston - the weather screams vacation. The drinks are not great - bartenders are mid. This is another Eddie V style establishment banking on location. Not worth it - go to Cancun. See you all there!

The Post Oak Hotel in Houston is the epitome of luxury and elegance. From the moment you step into the grand lobby, you're surrounded by immaculate design and top-tier service. The hotel boasts pristine cleanliness throughout, making every stay comfortable and refreshing. The gym, while well-equipped, may not fully satisfy hardcore fitness enthusiasts, but it certainly covers all the basics. And the food? Simply exquisite, with a variety of gourmet options that cater to every palate. Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, the Post Oak Hotel offers an unparalleled experience.

We actually dined in as a book club at the French dessert restaurant inside the hotel. Although the manager seemed friendly originally when we vetted the location when we arrived she was stand offish. We literally moved the tables and chairs ourselves as they watched, although we all purchased food and drinks from the establishment. We were being watched and a couple of security guards informed us to not capture videos, which signage was displayed in the lobby but not the restaurant. We’re a book club of 12. Not rowdy or looking to capitalize on viral moments. Our book setting was in Paris so we thought it was fitting. The atmosphere and vibe were absolutely on target. However, the service was disappointing enough for us not to return.

I am not even sure where to begin. I guess let me start by saying if I could give them 10 stars, I would. We have been treated like VIPs. Every single encounter with staff at the hotel has been the most impressive master class in customer service. I have worked with their concierge team over the past couple of months to plan a super special Valentine's Day for my wife. They have been instrumental in making everything go smooth. The front desk staff is the perfect first impression setting the expectations for the rest of the stay. Management actually cares to the extent that they personally handle things they could easily delegate to others. I would stay here again without even thinking twice. Thank you for making this the greatest Valentine's Day weekend ever. Some of the people that stood out are: Justin Sparks - concierge extraordinaire Jim - concierge Julie - concierge G - front desk Kenneth - front desk manager Terrance - not sure of the department, but I will just say miracle worker That was NOT an exhaustive list as MANY people helped make this the best Valentine's Day EVER, but these are the names that have taken up residence in my mind. Please accept my apologies if I misspelled a name.

Our staycation at the The Post Oak Hotel Uptown was totally personalized on ALL levels. Adams greeted us with a great smile and such professional and personal demeanor! Before assisting with luggage and all other items that needed to carried into hotel; Adam offered us water, then pointed out the guest counter to get checked in. We love the location, its all inclusive...great places for fine dinning, places to listen to live music & great classy social pockets. The hotel was beautiful! Unfortunately, I had to leave not even a half day into my stay due to an emergency. Upon receiving my bill I received almost $6,000.00 in fraudulent charges the hotel allowed without any identification and even issued additional room key cards without identification! Upon calling to try to address my bill I am told it will take 2-3 business days for finance to review the charges. Long story short, it sounds as if I will be enthralling the hotel in a legal suit. Or they will get this fixed promptly and correctly and the review will be removed and we can avoid the headache of a lawsuit to get the same results. For a hotel that caters to high net worth individuals knowing they will allow someone to spend thousands and thousands of dollars without any identification and nothing but a room number this is horribly concerning and the opposite of a high net worth experience.

Wanted to stay downtown Houston with our four kids (all under seven). We don’t split rooms for safety, but were told small two bedroom suites start around $5,000/night—our budget was ~$2,500. That prices out even high-income families and pushes us to Airbnb, even though we’d happily spend on room service and dining. In a soft economy, that policy feels out of touch. If connecting rooms or a family suite were reasonably priced, we’d book with the hotel. I'm not dropping 5k per night for a room at a hotel (regardless of your star rating) in downtown Houston.

Six years ago, I had the privilege of staying at the Post Oak Hotel for a business event, invited by billionaire Wayne Nugent. The hotel itself is a masterpiece—modern, elegant, and meticulously designed with attention to every detail. Definitely a five star hotel but there is no ice in the building you have to order it and it takes an hour to get to your door 🤷🏻‍♀️ the service is amazing though everyone is so friendly! Amenities beautiful! Restaurants amazing! Because it is a five-star hotel the fridge is already full of alcohol and treats so you can’t really bring your own stuff there. All the staff are so nice! As a travel advisor, my role goes far beyond booking flights and accommodations — it’s about understanding my clients’ expectations and elevating them through unforgettable experiences. That’s why, when I discover a property like this, where every detail has been thoughtfully designed, where balance and harmony are present in every element — I know I’ve found more than just a hotel. This is a destination in itself. From the architecture to the service, the culinary excellence, and the ambiance that flows seamlessly throughout every space, this hotel embodies the essence of refined hospitality. If you’re looking for a place that anticipates your needs before you voice them, that creates a sense of calm, luxury, and purpose — then this is where your journey should begin. I spent to nights with my service animal and was greeted by Kayla and also checked out by her. The first day I was lost looking for the spa due to miscommunication, I was told it was on the fifth floor. I enjoyed the room service and the room was very spacious. I stayed in the King Suite, the bathroom and bathtub were pristine with TV in bathroom. I met Judith from H Bar and had the whiskey flight that was part of the promotion for the room at the time. Judith was very kind and the pool staff was very attentive. I was able to think out loud and was caught off guard by government officials that were there with alot of officers which made me very anxious. Overall it was a cool hotel with Morton/Vintage style.

This is our second time staying at this hotel. It’s definitely a mixed bag of reviews: 1) rooms are generally nice and clean. Hotel grounds are also well kept. AC in the room has to be put on 62 to even feel cool and get rid of some of the humidity. 2) restaurants and bar onsite are nice to have. Other restaurants are within walking distance which is nice too. 3) service is very inconsistent. We were here for 3 nights this time. Turndown service didn’t happen for two of them, we were missing house shoes, even with a Do Not Disturb sign, were woken up 2/3 mornings with housekeeping asking us if we’re leaving or needing service (this was very frustrating) 4) the little some extra, that wasn’t really — my husband paid for rose petals and chocolate covered strawberries to Be delivered the room while we were gone. What is supposed to be a nice elegant touch, it was anything but. The rose petals were just thrown on the bed (without turn down)—so all decorative pillows everything were still on the bed, the ironing board we previously used was turned upside down and hidden behind the curtains (instead of put away), and most disappointingly, the bathroom wasn’t even cleaned. We didn’t have any clean towels, trash emptied, etc. What was going to be our hidden gem of a hotel every time we come to Houston, has turned out not to be so. This is our last, frustrating and expensive stay.

The Post Oak Hotel served up the most delicious blend of luxury, playfulness, and thoughtful care. From the surprise Beyoncé cocktail waiting in the room to stepping in like heroes when we left something at the airport. They didn’t skip a hospitality beat. Every team member glowed with warmth, grace, and a sincerity that made the whole stay feel personal. The rooms? Perfection. Smartly designed with details like a shaving mirror in the shower, a full soaking tub, panoramic views from the corner suite, and even in-room weights. Ideal for a quick pump before the pool, a night out, or just to offset the calories from that juicy burger and glass of champagne.

If I could give this hotel 100 stars I would!! From time we entered the building to the time we left, the hotel service was phenomenal!! The amenities in the room are one of a kind, the hotel itself is beautiful and the staff is amazing and very personable! The spa experience was amazing, the complimentary drivers that are on-site. There are so many details I could go on and on about, but I'd be here all day lol. I thought the Venetian in Las Vegas was the best hotel I had ever been to, but this one takes the cake. And to find out that it's the only 5 star hotel in Houston, AND the hotel that the president and all the celebrities stay at when they come to visit....I absolutely see why! The price is worth it, and the experience is like no other! HIGHLY recommended!!

My experience at The Post Oak Hotel was unforgettable. The venue itself is absolutely stunning - elegant, meticulously maintained, and visually luxurious. It’s easy to see why it’s one of Houston’s most sought-after locations for upscale events. From a logistics perspective, the space was well-organized and accommodating. I've had the pleasure of experiencing The Post Oak Hotel several times now, whether I was a guest or visiting friends who were lodging there, and each time has been reliably impressive. From the moment you arrive, the staff makes a strong impression. Everyone is incredibly attentive, warm, and professional, which speaks volumes about the hotel's commitment to hospitality. Whether it's valet, front desk, housekeeping, or room service, the service is consistent and thoughtful across the board. One of the highlights for me is the pool area. It's beautifully designed and gives you the feeling of being transported to a luxury resort outside the U.S.. It really gives tranquil, stylish, and well-maintained. It's the kind of place you could spend hours just relaxing, and it never feels overcrowded. The service by the pool is also impeccable. The staff truly ensure you are well taken care of. Another standout experience was the concierge lounge. If you have access, it's well worth taking advantage of. The lounge offers a generous spread of complimentary food and beverages throughout the day, including snacks, full meals, desserts, and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). You can also bring 1-2 guests, which makes it a great spot to host a friend in a more private setting. It's a nice touch that enhances the overall value and convenience of your stay. Also a great money saver. The rooms themselves are clean, comfortable, and well-kept. While they might not feel ultra-modern or exceptionally luxurious by today's 5-star standards, you can tell that when the hotel was built, it was designed to be state-of-the-art. It still holds a certain elegance and charm. One thoughtful feature I appreciate is the doorbell system outside each room. This eliminates unnecessary knocks by staff and provides a more peaceful and private experience. All in all, I would rate The Post Oak a strong 4.5/5. I've stayed in top-tier hotels around the world, and while this property may not be the most cutting-edge anymore, it still holds its own with great service, top tier amenities, and a sense of calm luxury that makes it a go-to spot for a luxurious, relaxing stay in Houston.

My birthday was this past weekend, and I can say this hotel exceeded my expectations. The service, the room, the food, and the view from my room were amazing 👏🏼 👌🏼 !!! Anwar at the valet was extremely nice and charming. Nef took our bags, waited for us to check in, and took us to our room. He gave us a quick tour and showed us how to work everything. He was so kind and I really enjoyed our conversation. "G" checked us in. He told us about the property, amenities, and restaurants, and through conversation, we found out he went to college where I was visiting from!! I loved that everyone told me happy birthday 😊!! Room service was quick, and the food was delicious!! Took a relaxing bubble bath while watching a movie. Bed was comfortable. The only problem is that the room didn't stay cool throughout the night. Other than that, no problems. I will definitely be back in December!!

My son and his girlfriend stayed there last night to celebrate their anniversary, and I called the pastry shop that's downstairs in the hotel to have some desserts sent up to them as a gift. In order for me to pay with my card, they had to email a form over for me to fill out. I was having trouble with it (MY fault, not theirs whatsoever) and the manager was so kind that she comped the desserts I chose and sent them up anyway as a congratulations. Everyone I spoke to was incredibly sweet and professional, and my son and his girlfriend had an amazing time. They also said the desserts were delicious. He sent me a video of their room when they arrived and it was just gorgeous!! Would absolutely recommend! Thank you for ensuring my son and his girlfriend had an anniversary to remember!

This review is not about the hotel itself but about the parking situation when I visit my favorite spot for cakes and coffee, La Bouchee. It would be great if you could add more parking spaces and extend the retail parking limit beyond one hour. It simply isn’t enough time to enjoy a relaxed breakfast or meal.

My husband and I stayed for the weekend this month to celebrate our anniversary. We stayed in a concierge suite and had an absolutely amazing time- the concierge staff helped make our arrival special, sending me options for room decor and food/drink. We arrived to a gorgeous view with a spread of sweets and prosecco, balloons and rose petals, that blew us away. The room was clean, stocked with high end liquors and wines, and had Aqua di Parma toiletries stocked in our beautiful marble bathroom. The concierge lounge had an amazing selection of rotating food throughout the day, and the lounge staff were all extremely warm and helpful with our questions and requests. The views on floor 21 are amazing, the bed was plush and comfortable, and the ability to open and close drapes all across the suite was awesome. We utilized the pool most while we stayed and the pool staff was also very friendly and warm, helping us choose a spot and set up, and checking in frequently on if we were hungry or thirsty. The walkability to restaurants was awesome, we enjoyed dinners at Bloom and Bee and Mastros during our stay. This is an excellent splurge for a staycation if you are local, everything we enjoyed was worth the price.

The absolute BEST hotel I have ever stayed at, globally, (and I travel a lot). Rooms are 11 out of 10. Spotless, like brand new, amazing attention to detail. Perfect lighting, ambiance, etc, and very comfortable beds & furniture. Views of the Houston skyline from the Corner King was amazing. Food is excellent and we mostly did in room dining. The Post Oak is a 5 star hotel for a reason, everything is top shelf, high class, including the excellent service by everyone from the front desk, to valet and housekeeping. Will 100% be back, highly recommend.

From the moment my ride arrived until the time I checked out, I felt completely taken care of at The Post Oak Hotel. The level of service and attention to detail is unmatched. The concierge, front desk, and in-room dining staff all made my stay remarkable. The room itself was stunning... peaceful, luxurious, and so comfortable that I honestly didn’t want to leave. The breakfast was amazing, and while I wish I could’ve tried the crab cake, I truly appreciated how the dining team prioritized my no-dairy diet and made sure I was well taken care of. If you’re looking for a hotel that defines five-star hospitality, The Post Oak is it. I can’t wait to come back!

Texas’ only Forbes 5 star Hotel with a 5 star Spa,and my girlfriend and I got to experience this lap of luxury for our Staycation in our hometown of Houston for my girlfriend’s Birthday. First class experience and so worth it. This is a must visit hotel and spa for Houstonians and tourists visiting from abroad. The Spa is a must and I highly recommend it, and you don’t even have to stay at the hotel to book a spa day.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience here was beyond unacceptable. The customer service was terrible, and I feel this place cannot be trusted. While a staff member was delivering ice and water to my room, my very expensive watch was sitting on the counter right next to where the ice bucket was placed. Moments later, my watch was gone. I immediately reported it, but the hotel refused to take responsibility, offered no real help, and made no effort to reimburse me for the loss. This situation was extremely disappointing and concerning. Guests should feel safe leaving their belongings in their own room, and that clearly was not the case here. Because of how poorly this was handled, I would never recommend staying here and will absolutely never return

My husband and I had a wonderful stay. Clean beautiful rooms with lots of amenities. From the moment we checked in Jay front desk was great! Isaiah went above and beyond all throughout our stay and made sure we had a great time. This hotel really strives to have the best service and they definitely do provide that for guests. We will definitely be back again.

Wonderful hotel, love the staff, great room with great bathroom and tub. Haven’t used the pool yet because it closes so early, why not keep the beautiful pool open at night? The lighting is so nice out there, wish we could swim until at least 9pm. That’s my only qualm. The food is incredible and the amount of options is impressive.

The post oak is what dreams are made of, from the high-tech spacious and beautiful rooms to the delicious food throughout, to the staff who sets an all-time new high standard for hospitality. They’re literally is nowhere else that compares. I travel most of the year and the Postoak is someplace I am always so excited to visit. You feel like the staff really truly cares about you and your experience in our extremely professional.

When selecting my room received an error message that I needed to reach out to staff. From top to bottom the encounter was awful. Truly the worst CS experience. Water pressure is awful, smelt like mold in the room and good luck getting the A/C cold. Spraying more “air freshener” doesn’t change the issue in the room.

The hotel’s design is definitely not my taste. It feels very old-school with a strong Middle Eastern vibe — even the smell in the rooms reflects that style, which personally wasn’t comfortable for me. That said, there are very few hotels at this “luxury” level in Houston, and it’s clear they’re taking full advantage of the lack of competition. Almost everything is an extra charge — valet parking costs nearly the same as a daily BMW X5 rental 🙂. A $1,500 per night room rate doesn’t include breakfast or basic amenities, which feels excessive. The location is excellent, and from a business perspective, it’s a great place to operate given the limited alternatives in the area 🤓. We ended up canceling our 3-night stay (for three other rooms) and moved to another location. However, I want to highlight that the hotel staff and service were truly excellent — professional, kind, and attentive throughout the process. Overall, luxury pricing should come with matching value. Great service alone isn’t always enough.

I had to check out Tilman Fertitta’s Post Oak Hotel while visiting Houston, and I’ve been absolutely amazed by the service. The moment you walk in, the hospitality is on another level—they truly take care of you. My room was extremely luxurious and spotless. I stayed in the Concierge Suite on the 21st floor, and the view is incredible. The attention to detail in the room is impressive—everything from the lighting to the furniture feels thoughtfully chosen. The bed is unbelievably comfortable, and the in-room selection of high-end liquor and wine was a great touch. Breakfast was outstanding as well. I had the crab cakes and they were perfect. The concierge lounge also exceeded expectations with a great selection of food that rotates throughout the day. Huge shoutout to Kenneth at the front desk—he was professional, welcoming, and made the check-in experience smooth and enjoyable. If you’re visiting Houston, The Post Oak Hotel is absolutely worth it. A true luxury experience.

I had a great experience staying at the Past Oak Hotel. The night supervisor, Slava, went above and beyond to make sure everything was in order. He was polite, attentive, and always ready to assist with anything needed. You could see that he truly cares about guest comfort and takes pride in his work. Thanks to Slava, my stay felt smooth, safe, and well taken care of.

A great gym, but this hotel is an NBA players hotel, so the vibe is self-conscious posers in a party atmosphere, not the classy Beverly Hills vibe they claim to aspire to. This is a reflection of the fact that the hotel is owned by the same man who owns the Houston Rockets, so it's brash and loud - not a quiet luxury experience. Sound insulation in the rooms was poor, made worse by the fact that the hotel accepted in advance my request for a quiet room - something I reminded them of when I checked in - and yet was placed in a room that I discovered as the night progressed was directly next to the nightclub. Hallway and outdoor noise also penetrated the second room I was moved into - note quite a few of the rooms are clustered around the elevator which doesn't help. Despite repeated requests via booking.com for an airport pickup, there was no response except annoying advance messages with long lists of to-do's. Lastly, I do want to give a shout out to the doormen and household staff, who did ensure the room was clean and my bags were transferred in a friendly and elegant fashion.

The blankets is full of mold and mildew. I had talked and showed manager 1st nite and she told me she will get housekeeper to change both beds. She also compted me free parking. Sad to say same thing on new blankets that was changed out. That's 4 blankets total that is nasty. Talked to her next day and she said housekeeper says that's how their blankets are because it's a down blanket and that's how it looks.! I'm glad I took pictures to prove that's it's nasty looking! Water pressure to shower is very low. Very disappointed at this location!

All good besides the light switches light and the bathroom bottom light do not turn off so if you need complete darkness bring some tape or some to cover it up. But the staff were kind and the hotel looked very nice for an old building. Also note the spa steam room and sauna is 18+.

Attended a corporate event but still experienced a level of service and attention to detail that was extraordinary. From the moment I handed the keys to the valet through to when he handed them at the end of my visit I was thoroughly impressed. The Hotel lobby was immaculate for such a high traffic area and the corporate room was too. Next time I will make a stay of it and get the full experience!

I stayed two nights. As everyone else said, the service, decor, and spa are all amazing. I want to highlight the really attractive art throughout the hotel, notably four pieces by Frank Stella, along with the chandelier and other amazing decor. This is absolutely a step above in terms of art and decor. Also, they have a small library with some very high end and expensive books about artists and architecture (and other things), which is also on another level. This puts this place in the same league as Aman resorts, and it is far superior to standard 5-star hotels (like Four Seasons). Of course, the location is ideal for shopping at the Galleria, whereas it is quite a distance off from the museums downtown. As such, the location was a negative for me in terms of visiting museums, but if you want to relax at the spa and immerse yourself in this hotel with nice restaurants, etc..., then highly recommend!

Bloom & Bee was the perfect spot for my birthday brunch! The service was amazing from start to finish, and the food was delicious with very generous portion sizes. Everything felt special, and I truly enjoyed celebrating there. The only thing to note is that the restaurant is very small—more of a cozy, bistro-style space—so it’s better suited for small groups (around four or fewer) or hotel guests. Overall, I had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend it for a birthday brunch or special occasion!

Room were amazing. The rooms were not ready for check-in, approx 90 minutes late. Most likel due to a huge conference. They made up for it by giving me a 2hr extension on my checkout when my flight was delayed. Great people. Amazing hotel. They do require a $500 deposit to cover extras such as the drinks (full bar in room) and snacks in the room, or anything you might have charged to your room. (typical for 5-star hotel)

We haven’t even completed our stay yet, but Chris J. in reservations has already been phenomenal. He went above and beyond to answer our questions and truly take the time to look into our inquiry. I hope this company knows how lucky they are to have a team member like him. We are so appreciative of his help and the effort he made for us. I chose The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary, expecting the flawless, five-star experience the property so prominently advertises. Unfortunately, the reality fell well short of those promises. We booked a couples Ayurvedic massage at the spa, followed by lunch at Bloom & Bee. While the massage itself was performed as described, the level of attentiveness was lacking. I requested green tea, which never arrived—an avoidable oversight that set the tone for the rest of the experience. The more significant disappointment came with lunch. Two hours before our scheduled reservation, we were informed that the restaurant would be closing early and that we were being moved to the pool area. While the weather was pleasant and we accepted the change, the execution was unacceptable. It took 1 hour and 45 minutes for a very simple order—of appetizers and a sandwiches—to be served. Unacceptable... The only redeeming aspect of the entire afternoon was the professionalism and courtesy of our waitress, who was sincerely apologetic for the delays. For a property that positions itself as Texas’ only Forbes Five-Star hotel, with pricing to match, this experience was deeply disappointing. I was willing to pay a premium for a seamless, memorable celebration. Instead, the day was marked by poor coordination, lack of attention to detail, and service breakdowns. Regrettably, this will be our last visit.

Celebrated my daughter’s 21st birthday in the best way possible! She wanted something upscale, so we chose Bloom & Bee at The Post Oak Hotel for a special birthday brunch, and it was perfect. Christian was our server and he was absolutely amazing. John G., the manager on duty, stopped by to personally wish my daughter a happy birthday, and the team surprised her with something special to celebrate. From the valet to the very end of our visit, the service was exceptional. The food was delicious, the ambiance was beautiful, and the hotel was beautifully decorated with Christmas decor. I am extremely disappointed with my stay and the way my concerns were handled. When I checked into my room, the temperature was already at 68°F. I immediately lowered the thermostat to 60°F and kept the drapes closed for the entire day to help cool the room. However, by 11:00 PM, the room temperature was still 68°F. I contacted the hotel technician, who informed me that the air conditioning system does not cool below 68°F. I then called the front desk, where Keyla explained that the hotel has a built-in limit of 68°F and that, for “guest safety,” they cannot lower it further because guests could supposedly freeze to death in their rooms. The explanation felt dismissive and condescending, as if I were being treated like a child rather than a paying guest expressing a legitimate concern. Instead of offering a meaningful solution, I was told they could send me ice and a fan. I specifically chose and paid for a hotel room with air conditioning, not a fan. A properly functioning climate control system is a basic hotel amenity, especially for guests who prefer a cooler sleeping environment. As a result, I was unable to sleep comfortably throughout the night. What is most frustrating is that no one made any real effort to resolve the issue or provide an acceptable alternative. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have encountered at a hotel and so will never stay here again.
